My DS is on hypo-allergenic formula that has no powder form. Will the coolers in the room keep the formula cold? Also, is there any way I can ship a case or two of formula to the ship, so I'm not carrying it on the plane and to the port? Since it's a prescription formula, do you think I can get the scrip filled in Orlando? I'm spending 5 days in WDW first.

Hi, the coolers in the room are not cold enough, however, you may request, with a doctor's note a small fridge in your stateroom...

There is a thread here with the address to ship ahead...I will look for it, and post the link...

this is the link, with an address...

remember-unless your doctor is lic. to practice in florida the perscription will not be valid and can't be filled, you may however want to check with a national pharmacy chain like walmart (there's one in cape canaveral) or safeway and see if you can present the perscription ahead of time at your local for pick up out of state, but check with the pharmacist at both ends of the transaction to make sure/check availability. suggest that you call the cruiseline directly and ask for their ada coordinator (they are very accommodating and will have the best and most accurate information) re shipping to the line directly. if you are staying at wdw first you can mail it your resort for cold storage (even if it does'nt need to be refridgerated until opening it will prevent it from being placed in an overly heated closet prior to your arrival)-call the resort and speak to the desk manager or concierege (if they have one)-explain the situation and ask for a direct mailing address to send the package. they will have you lable it with your name and arrival date as well.

We had a prescription for our infant which was written in NJ and filled out in a Walgreens in Orlando so this shouldn't be a problem.

Furthermore, we requested a refrigerator for the stateroom based on a medical condition and had one placed under the desk right after we checked in.

The coolers in the staterooms will not do the job, request a refrigerator and explain the medical reason; you should not have any problems getting the refrigerator you need. DCL is very accommodating.

FYI, there is a CVS somewhere near the port since DD has had the Fun Bus take her there. Also Walgreens advertises that you can get your prescription from "home" refilled at any Walgreens nationally. You might check them out.

Definitely request the fridge in advance. Check with the DCL medical ahead of time so they are prepared for your request.
