What to do with 7 points in holding?

I can't stand the thoughts of points just going to waste. Are these even worth renting out since they aren't enough for even 1 nite in low season at a studio?

We have 7 points in holding - Oct UY. We already have our 2009 trips booked and even extended the April trip by 2 days to use up the rest of the points in holding.

Any suggestions?

Ya, wave bye to them when they expire. I lost 5 points a couple years ago so it happens to all of use once in awhile.

Can they be transferred to someone else? (I don't know what the rules are for points that are in holding.) But there might be someone on the rent / trade board who's just a handful short.

I'm still trying to convince DH that we need to go again in August for my 40th birthday but then we would have to borrow points for that trip....

I don't know the rules or fees to transfer. I'll check the rent/trade board and see if anyone is needing a few.

can you extend your vacation one more day?
If so use the 7ppts and then borrow from next years use year for the balance that you need for the extra day.

I wish we could but we have to be back on the day we fly back.

As the others have stated maybe someone is short some ppts for their stay and list these on the board for t-fer. The ppts are renting for $6 to $8 so you are talking about $50. You need to decide if that's worth the hassle to list and rent or lose them.

OP cannot transfer points that are in holding.
someone looking for a few odd points would have to transfer the balance of points to OP in order to reserve what is needed. that's a LOT of hassle for a few points.
