GO TO DISNEYLAND!!! woo hoo!

Thursday is my last day at work due to a lay-off and I will be up at 6a.m. the next morning driving down to Anaheim to celebrate my first day of unemployment with Mickey and the gang (oh yeah, my DBF, sister, and BIL). :thumbsup2

Just wanted to share my excitement. I will definitely say that knowing I am days away from DL is taking the sting and worry away about the road ahead of me!

Thanks for letting me share!!!

Can't think of a better place to be on your first day of unemployment! Have a fabulous day there and good luck to you finding another job soon! :flower3:

one of the things i love best about disneyland is that when i walk through that first tunnel, it feels like the rest of the world melts away. i seriously don't think about anything going on in my normal life while i am there, lol! so hopefully your day at disneyland will give you at least one day to breathe easy and regroup a little before you have to jump back into real life.

i hope you have a great time (and i'm sorry you got laid off!)

We did the same thing in May and August.. Dh got laid off last December and by May, he was ready to just get away and have some "non-job-search" fun! So when we went to pick up Ds18 from college, we stayed an extra night and went to Disneyland. We took all our kids and did it again in August for 2 days when we took Ds18 back to school for the fall.

I feel guilty for spending the money while unemployed, but it was still fun!
I'm sorry about your job, but enjoy the park!
Beth

We had been planning our trip for over a year and I basicly got laid off in July (technically I'm still employed they just don't have any work for me). We debated a long time if we should still go but we already had money saved up, the kids are only young once, and there will always be more practical things you should spend your money on :lmao: even if you have a job.

We are so looking forward to our trip next month! I keep thinking of those superbowl commercials, "John Doe you just lost your job, what are you going to do now?"
