We will be coming in around noonish to our resort. Since we will all have been up since 3:00 a.m. (we drive 2 hours to get to the airport) we will be tired. If our room is ready we will most likely relax and take a snooze. But if our room is not ready I was wondering what thoughts everyone had for us to do. We will not have a car. We really don’t want to head to a theme park because then we will push ourselves to exhaustion. The last time DH and I arrived we headed to a theme park by 4:00 p.m. we were both crabby and getting on each other's nerves. Since we are bringing my parents who are in their 60's we don’t want this to happen to them right off the bat. I have thought about this for days and have drawn a blank :confused3 Any ideas??

If you don't have a lot of requests they may have a room that is cleaned for you. It's when people require certain views or areas that they may have to wait.

Ask when you go to check in if there are any cleaned rooms available at that time.

How about you head to the marina (if your resort has one, if not, take a bus to one of the resorts that does have one) and rent one of those pontoon boats for a few hours? Thats relaxing, maybe even snoozable. Expensive though.

You could also head over to Downtown Disney to relax for a little while...

We uaully head to DTD if we arrive early. Gives us a chance to pick up a few things. :)

HI, Around "noonish" sounds like the perfect time to have LUNCH! A nice sit down meal, and a great lunch spot is the GF Cafe. They have a wonderful lunch menu and FANTASTIC desserts! You do not say which hotel you are staying at, but this is one of my family's FAVORITE spots for lunch! If you have some extra time, a walk around this resort and a little shopping is also a nice way to pass the time. Then check into your hotel and have a little nap. Perfect way to start a vacation! That happened to us last year. We go there at 12:00 and our room wasn't ready until 3:00. Go to the commesary. I am sure you are going to be hungry. Take a walk around the resort and get a feel for everything. You might be tired, but you are also going to be excited.

I agree with relaxing at the pool. Pack your swim suits in a bag that you can easily access, and go change in the bathroom and take a nap poolside. The front desk will store your luggage for you.

We go to the food court and get a snack and something to drink and sit and relax a bit while the kids watch cartoons on tv. Then we go look in the gift shops and look around.

Im sorry I forgot we are staying at OKW. I like the idea of just sitting and relaxing. I have never eaten at the GF. That might be a great place to go and have my parents get a peak of MK. Maybe even take the monorail for a ride. :cool1: :bounce: :wave2: :cheer2: :earseek: :wave2:

We're actually getting in around 10:00am and we plan to go to DTD for the whole day so that we A) dont feel rushed and B) we wont have to worry about missing several hours of a park. Besides, they have this really cool looking game there at DQ I want to play with DD. Looks like a Star Wars lightsaber game! :)

We always get to our hotel around noon also, and our room is never ready for us. We leave our luggage with the bell guy/lady and then we go to Downtown Disney and do some shopping and get a bite to eat.

If this doesn't sound like a good plan, you can also go Miniture Golfing. That would be a fun past time also. :)

Thats the coolest icon ive seen!! (i just had to add that first)

I believe that OKW you can take the boat to DTD (its been years and years since ive been to OKW so some one please correct me if im wrong) at DTD id take in a movie (if theres anything out that youd like to see that is) do some window shopping... or i like the idea of grabbin a bus to the TTC and taking the resort monorail over to the GF... you could also if you want your folks to see MK how about seeing EPCOT grab the EPCOT monorail for a roundtrip to and from EPCOT and maybe get a ride up front I love doing that then hop the monorail to the resorts and such... stayin on the monorails will give you some much needed time to sit and relax even if it is just for 15-20 minutes....

Hang out at the pool.

OUR PLAN EXACTLY!!! Our flight leaves out of Laguardia (sp?!?) at 6:30 AM!!! Maybe we'll sleep during the flight?!?

(We may be SO excited though and HAVE to take a ride over to MK . . I miss my castle SO MUCH!!!)

I always have a little bag packed with some pool stuff, then leave my other luggage with bell services and go change and find a great chair to relax by the pool with for awhile (either the sun or the shade). But most of the time my room has been ready and I still head to the pool for a little rest after getting settled in the room. Although the parks are important the real reason is the vacation and that to me means relaxation.

I would say grab lunch & then check on your room. If it's still not ready, a nap in the sun by the pool sounds like a plan.

If you are renting a car, how about stopping at Earl of Sandwich on the way in? It's a great place for lunch & it would give you an extra hour before you check-in, upping your odds of a room being ready..... We did that last Oct. when we arrived at 10:30 am. By the time we grabbed our AP's & had lunch, our room was ready & we could crash there for an hour. (also a very early wake-up for us)

Lets see - our plane isnt due to land at MCO until 2pm so I figure it will be check-in time when we get to the Pop. After checkin its time for Garden Grill char dinner at EpCot.

5days later when we switch to Wilderness Lodge we'll take the bus to MK and boat over to WL. After trying to check-in we'll take the smaller boat over to the Contemp for Chef Mickey's character breakfast, check out the arcade, hop on the monorail, boat back to WL, WL arcade, fill up our refillable mugs, swim in the pool, etc. Planning on MK that night

3days later when we switch to Beach Club Villas we'll take boat to MK and bus to BCV. After trying to check-in we'll have a character breakfast at Cape May, swim in Stormalong Bay, check out BC, arcade, get refillable mugs. Planning on EpCot that night
