Our family is huge fans of staying in the parks, especially MK, on those nights that its open until 2 or 3am. However, on our stay coming up, on several of the nights all parks close by 9pm. Does anybody have any suggestions of what to do once the parks close? We are staying on property.

Both Boardwalk & Downtown Disney are open late. We also go swimming at night.

I love love love swimming at that time of night. Also, many of the bars in the resorts have live entertainment like at Port Orleans Riverside for instance.

I'm not sure if closing times. Probably varies from resort to resort. Must be late though as I have never been there still when one closed.

How about bowling and a meal at Splitsville? When I was up at WDW last month for Reunion, a few of us went to Splitsville on a night when the MK closed at 7 pm. Had quite a good time that night.

we goto bed, that way we are in decent shape for the opening the next day

Downtown Disney - parts of it are open until 2 am.
- Splitsville for eats and bowling
- AMC Dine in Theater
- LOTS of live music at several locations
- DisneyQuest usually open until 11 so if you have waterpark and more
Enough to have something to do every night

Resort Lounges - some are just cool and some have entertainment.
- POR has Bob Jackson, he's AWESOME! http://yehaabob.com/

Boardwalk - activities depend on your age group

Miniature Golf Course - often open until 11 pm

We actually like to save our park time and do late dinners at resorts, so many we want to try. :goodvibes

We are probably getting to bed after parks close on our trip (8 and 9pm...5pm for AK) because we are hoping to do rope drop a few mornings and have 2 8am adr's too.... Possibly after AK we will hit DTD, or Epcot to browse the WS some more... OR if the weather keeps up we might swim!!

We swim. I am super-fair, and I hate swimming during the day because of the amount of sunblock required. I love to swim at night when I don't have to worry about getting a bad burn. Not sure about all the resorts, but the ones we've stayed at have had a feature pool with lifeguards that closed at 11:00 and a basic pool that was open 24/7.

Something not said yet is take a bus to a different resort and walk around to see the scenery there instead, or even have a late dinner there if an eatery is still open. You would need to get a cab or catch the bus to DTD to transfer back to your own resort if you don't have your own car, though.

AKL has a fire circle that you can sit around, and sometimes there are storytellers. You can also do night animal viewing from the area behind the lodge.

If you really want to do things, go to DTD or travel around to other resorts (although this might be a challenge, depending on how late transportation runs). I think we'd probably just stay in and get some sleep, so we could be up and at 'em first thing in the morning!

We swim, explore the hotel.

Often we are getting up at 6 or 7 am so if the park closes at 9, by the time we get back to hotel its 9:30ish. Everyone showers, gets a snack and collapses into bed. The only time we get home early is when we go to Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios so we usually have dinner and shop in Downtown Disney.

Bob Jackson at POR is brilliant, don't know where the guy gets his energy from but he is extremely entertaining and gets the crowd involved every time

Mini Golf, Bowling, Carriage Ride, DisneyQuest, Downtown Disney, movies under the stars, eat at resort hotels, Boardwalk, Beaches & Cream, adult night out go to Jellyrolls or any bar/lounge.

Off the top of my head.
