another decision to make... as if there aren't enough already!lol

ok... our flight leaves at 6:30 AM from YYZ on a Friday so I'm assuming that we need to be there by 4am to 4:30am and it's about a 45 min drive to the airport with no traffic.

would you.....
a) take an airport limo and pay approximatly $85 per way

b) do park and fly and leave the car in TO for 2 weeks... dh is nervous about leaving his 'baby' parked in TO for that long. approx $100

c) stay in a hotel knowing that you wouldn't make it to the hotel until about 9pm the night before the flight b/c dh has to work the day before we leave and by the time he get's home and we get dinner out and pack up the car it would be late, the kids wouldn't end up sleeping at all b/c they don't do well the first night in a strange place so we would have 2 cranky boys the first day of our 2 weeks in Florida. But our car would be able to stay at the hotel while we were gone.

d) other suggestion??

I'd do a poll but I don't know how!!lol Cost isn't really an issue..... I figure if I'm spending this much $$ on a vacation what's another few $100 dollars!!lol

I'm leaning towards red car or an airport limo only b/c I'm really worried that we won't wake up in time to get to the airport but this way there would be someone pounding on our door at 3:15am. Good idea? Bad idea?? way too many choices to be making for me!!lol

thoughts?? :confused3

Is there family that could drop off and pick you up from the airport?

there's a possibility that my mother could pick us up coming home but I'm really not sure her vehicle is big enough for all the luggage and us too..... plus I'd rather just get home and do the visiting with family a few day's after we've recovered!

If it were me, the extra $200 or so for the limo would be justified for the peace of mind that :

1) your car is safe at home;
2) you won't miss a wake up call (especially if someone is pounding on your door :) )
and 3) not having 2 cranky kids to start off the vacation...

But that's just me!!

Enjoy your trip!!

At that early in the A.M. everybody is tired! Cranky! 'Cause you ain't gonna sleep! Too Excited!

It's less of a hassle than parking your own car, you still have to take a shuttle and they don't always help with the loading and unloading of luggage!

With the limo, you are let off curbside and away you go!

I vote for the limo as well! It's always nice to have someone else driving but especially when it's that early in the morning.

That's three more votes for the limo! Convenience, piece of mind and not having to drive before you have had your coffee are all really good reasons to let a professional pick you up and drop you off.

If you're not worried about $$ then definitely get the limo. Just think it's an extra 45 minutes you can sleep in the car while someone else is driving. :p

spells "peace of mind":)

Let someone else worry about warming up the car...
Let someone else worry about "gassing it up"
Let someone else worry about where to park
Let someone else worry about whether all the luggage will fit
Let someone else worry about getting to the airport in time...

...sit back and enjoy the ride...and the kids will be more excited as well!!:) (read...NOT cranky!!;);) )

I would definitely do the limo. Most services also offer a wake up phone call. Just tell them what time you want to get up and they call, then show up at the appointed pick up time.

I remember one limo driver we had came to pick us up at about 4:30 in the morning and quietly went through a checklist with us after he stowed the luggage.

He said, okay do you have your passports, money, tickets, etc. I was so surprised I didn't laugh about it till later. Instead husband and I stood there nodding yes, yes.......

seat ages I say Park N Fly. ( Airport limo's don't have car seats). If they are beyond the need for car seats go with airport limo.

There are coupons available online -- but I question the bargain they give you when I had to wait 45 minutes for a shuttle bus in the economy lot in late April.

My youngest is in a high back booster that we plan on taking with us anyway.... so I guess Limo it is... I just let dh read all these posts and I was able to smile and say 'told ya so'

IS IT OCTOBER YET?????:Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

We have always booked a limo about a week before the trip. We live in Mississauga. It's about $40 for us. We have always been extremely satisified with the service. A couple of times our flights were about 6:30am too. S

Who do you usually book with if you don't mind me asking??

I'm in Guelph and we've looked at Red car and they are $82 each way.
