What to do w/ unused Universal gift card?

I inadvertently left a $40 Universal Orlando Resort gift card at home when we went on our January trip. It's been sitting on my desk, and I don't know what to do with it. I tried to use it to buy a souvenir I needed to replace after my puppy chewed up something we'd bought, but I was told I couldn't use the gift card for internet or phone orders. Any ideas on how to get any value from it? I'd offer to sell it to someone here at a discount but don't think sales of any kind are allowed on the DIS boards. I tried Plastic Jungle and another gift card swap site, but Universal isn't one of the listed companies for card swaps on those sites.

I guess I could just save it in case we go back some day but am not sure whether the cards expire. Does anyone know?

Just save it for a future trip and you are correct...selling is not permitted on the DIS. As long as there is a balance, gift cards are still good.
