Me, dh, dd5, ds 4.5 months are now in Disney. We did DHS today, and the plan was to go to BBB in Downtown Disney tonight at 6pm, but dd5 just wants to swim :confused3. I'm trying to figure out what we should do tonight, as I don't want to waste an evening. Tomorrow we were planning to hang out at the house and do MNSSHP at night. We're losing too much "Disney" time! Anyone do the Chip and Dale campfire? What's that like? Any other suggestions? TIA!

I would take it slow, and let your family set the pace. Let your daughter swim, and relax as a family. I think if you push " commando" touring too hard on the family it will backfire.

Sometimes 5 year olds can only focus on what is in front of them. She probably doesn't realize how much fun BBB will be. I would just tell her you will swim tomorrow, and that tonight you are going to downtown disney. If she doesn't want to do BBB after she sees it you can shop and go out to dinner.

DD's in the pool now. I think the pp is right w/the commando style. I've had to let go of a lot of "creative" control on this trip. I've already booked Disney for next year, but it includes the Disney cruise so it will be a little different.

Will we still have fun if we go to Downtown Disney later tonight for a couple hours? We'll sleep in late tomorrow since our day won't really start until around 4pm? Is it interesting enough to enjoy ourselves, or should we do an activity like the campfire? I know dd would love to do something fun, she can only swim for so long...

I say let her swim for an hour or 2, then head to DTD a little later. You'll miss BBB, but it will be fun to stroll around. DD might not want her hair in that tight bun anyway! And you can SHOP with that $$. And go to Goofy's. Or Ghirardeli (sp). Call it a semi-early evening. Or the movie or campfire sounds good, too!!

Geez, I wish I was there, so badly! Just a few more weeks...

Did you know you can save a ton of money and time by buying a princess outfit at DTD or WalMart or some other retail store, and the Barber shop on Main Street USA will put glitter in her hair for $10. Just wanted to share that.

We love doing the movies outdoors.

Here is a link to the movies at each resort that they are playing.

Looks like you have some great choices. Wall-E, Snow White, Little Mermaid, The Sword and the Stone

Have Fun!

Thank you sooooo much for that link!
There's a fire lghting and smores, then a campfire sing a long with chip and dale, then if we decide to stay, "The Little Mermaid" is playing on their large outdoor screen. The big plus is that it's free! Except we'll pay the $2 for the marshmallows and $5 for the Smore's kit. I can live with that, considering I'll be saving $60 minus $10 for cancelling BBB. Let's hope it doesn't rain... Thanks again everyone! DD is excited.

I think this is the neatest use of the 'experts' on this message board. I have never seen a live call out like this, and such great suggestions. Well done everyone.
