what to do the day we get to disney

We are arriving to pop century on the 22nd of june around lunch time, just wondering how we should spend our day (4 kids) as we are not going to MK until the next day, any suggestions? We do have ps for chef mickey's at 5:30pm, thanks

Why not have a character dinner at Chef Mickeys??

You can take the monorail around the resorts to get the flavor of the parks. Let them swim in the pool at the hotel.. and get an early night sleep for the long day ahead of you!

Go swimming, check out your resort, make a PS at Chef Mickey's or one of the monorail resorts for dinner. Get to bed early for your fun to begin...

We like going to Downtown Disney - Marketplace - so the kids can get some souveniours and not bug me throughout our trip at each park. It helps us!

BTW we always do chef mickeys first night.

You could also get to the contemporary early and take a ride on the monorail.

I like to just hop on the Monorail & just go "resort hopping" to all the different hotels, just to see what their like. You can also go to Downtown Disney, DisneyQuest - lots of stuff.

I really enjoy downtown Disney as the last poster mentioned. If you have a car, I also like hitting the Premium Outlet mall where they have Character Premiere. At the Character Premiere, they have official Disney World merchandise really cheap (a lot of it last years').
Hanging out at your resort is a great option too, charging up your energy for the rest of your vacation! Enjoy!

Maybe use the day to explore your resort, and some of the others. We chose to go to Downtown Disney, then swimming in the pool! Wanted to be in bed early to rest up for the MK the next morning!

We decided to hang around the WL pool until we can actually check-in. We'll have dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe and then monorail pool hop!

With the Magic Your Way tickets, adding another day is only a few dollars - I would go to the Parks. It's your first time, there's alot to see & a few extra dollars is nothing for several hours in a Park.

I recently changed my 7 day park hopper to a 9 day park hopper so I could enjoy the parks on arrival day and departure day. My total increased by $10!!! That was for one adult and one child and two more days in the parks. I'd increase my days! It is WORTH IT!! That way you at least have the option and if you don't use it, you didn't lose a chunk of change!!!

Hi!! You could spend time in the pool, (depending if you drove, or could get a bus) Hidden Mickey-spot, look at different hotels or ride around on the monorail!

What kind of tickets do you have right now? How many days are on your tickets?
