Our flight doesn't land until roughly 10:30p on 8/17. I hope we'll be at our hotel, AS Sports, within an hour. What to do? EMH @ MK is out since we wouldn't have the wrist bands. I'm 21, but my friend is only 20, so PI is out as well. Downtown Disney? I know we could just swim and check out the hotel, but we'll be full of energy and I want to get out and do something. I've been to DW a few times, but this is her first. We leave back for Delaware the 22nd, so we'll have enough time to see the parks (I can do all 4 in 2 days if necessary). We won't have a rental car, too much money for us 20-somethings. Thanks!

I KNOW this is not the answer you want, BUT, since it'll be late when you get in, I think you guys should just get something from the food court, unpack, hangout in the room, plan your next few days, and maybe take a swim. Even though I am excited when I arrive, my body isn't. So have fun at the pool, and check out the grounds at your resort.

Wow! You are really ready to party!

But, by the time you're in your room it will be after midnight... granted not that late for a 20 something but there will be plenty to do just getting settled. Or swimming as Glendamax suggested. The free transporation doesn't run much later than that. Even DisneyQuest closes at midnight... so I don't think DTD would have much going on. (But of course, I've never been there past midnight so maybe I'd be surprised.) You might check the hours of WWof Sports Bar on the Boardwalk... that's the only other place I can think of that might be open late.

Why not giggle yourselves to sleep (quietly, so you don't wake the baby next door or no one will be sleeping) and be ready to start the day early! Since it's her first time maybe you could schedule a character meal... or plan to be at the rope drop so she can see Mickey right away, and give yourselves some incentive to get up early.

Sounds like you're gonna have a blast!!

Thanks. I kinda figured we'd be at the hotel. Food is a good idea, since I doubt we'll have time to eat at Philly Int'l. We do plan on being at the rope drop the next day. I do have everything already planned including meals, etc! At least we can check out the other two AS motels as well. :)

Uh, this 20 something mom would be in BED. LOL .. Seriously, i would get to the hotel, mabye look around the resort - Quietly! Then unpack and turn in.. So i could be first in line at the park the next day,and not be exhausted!! LOL

Finally someone else from the little state of Delaware...Wilmington here.. By the time u get in everything will be pretty much be closed u should just hang out by the pool and get a drink from the bar thats off the food court.Wind down and decide whats going on the next day.Have fun.

I think that since you probably won't get to your resort until 11:30pm-12am, then I'd suggest checking in, unpack, maybe go for a quick swim, then head to bed, as your first day at the parks will be bright and early the next day.

I agree with everyone else that you should relax and wait for the morning. However, from what I have read, you don't need a wrist-band to get into the park for EMH...you can get one anytime until the park closes as long as you are resort guest.

Good luck and have a great time...

You can go out to PI, it's for 18 and up and it's a lot of fun. PI also stays open til 2am with like 6 or 8 clubs, only 2 of them are 21 and up. Have fun! party:
