We're staying at Caribbean Beach from July 1st - 9th and have our week pretty well planned, ADR's made, etc. The only thing I'm stumped on is what to do our last day. We fly out at 6pm, so I'm guessing we'll have to load the bus about 3-ish, so does anyone have any great ideas on how to end our trip? I'm not really sure what to do....

On our last day, we went to Ohana's for breakfast and looked around the Polynesian resort. You could go to any resort restaurant.

I'm interested to see what recommendations you get! We have a similar itinerary. Right now I have a late breakfast planned at Kona then maybe spend a few hours at MK but not sure about it time-wise.

I was thinking about maybe reservations at Kona too! I don't want to go back to a park, just because I we have a full week of parks and I don't think it will be worth the cost of a park ticket for that short of a time.

As for the cost for that last day, once you're up over a 5-day ticket, it's only about $10 per person to add one more day. So don't necessarily let the price discourage you. We often leave that last morning open and decide the night before which park we'd like to go to for a little while. It often has to do with a favorite ride they want to go on again or one we missed during the week.

But if you've had enough of parks, how about time at Downtown Disney if you haven't made it there during the week? That's always an easy way to kill some time! My kids could spend hours behind the Disney store building and racing cars.

There's mini golf. The Winter/Summerland is fun for kids and it's in the same lot as Blizzard Beach, so you can take the bus right there and back. They open at 10:00, so you could do a breakfast and then head there after.

Yes, I see you will be there for a whole week! You will enjoy yourselves! We could only go for 5 nights this trip, so really want to hit a few last minute rides in MK on that last day :yay: Still on the fence though. Called this evening and its only $42 to add the last day for the 4 of us so I'm thinking we will go for it!

Downtown Disney is a good idea. We are doing dinner there one night, but won't have a lot of time there. Maybe we'll do brunch and head over there. We actually have a 5 day park hopper voucher with water parks and more voucher and as far as we know, we can't add days to it. (Long story short, we went last year and 2 days into our 9 day trip, my father in law passed and we had to come home. Disney let us keep our unused tickets on a voucher to come back and use them.) So we'll be using those and my understanding was that we would have to purchase full tickets if we wanted extra days. I'll check into that when we get there though and see what they say. Right now I'm planning around just 5 days, to try to keep our budget in check! So, here's my plan so far. Maybe you guys will see something that you like to do that I don't have scheduled....

7/1 - arrival day, probably not to CBR until 5-ish, so we'll either order pizza or get something fast and just chill

7/2 - Epcot day, no ADR's (at least not yet). Maybe we'll change our minds

7/3 - Magic Kingdom, Plaza for lunch at 12, BOG for dinner at 4:30 (the only time available other than 8:15!)

74 - Hollywood Studios, Sci Fi at noon, 50's Primetime at 5

7/5 - nothing day. Sleep in, swim at the resort Dinner at T-Rex at 6:00

7/6 - Animal Kingdom, Tusker house at 8:00. Maybe go to Hollywood Studios in the evening after AK closes

7/7 - Typhoon Lagoon, dinner at ESPN Club at the Boardwalk. No ADR's, it's a walk up. Dessert at Beaches & Cream?

7/8 - Magic Kingdom, 8:05 breakfast at CRT (I may cancel this. $200 seems crazy for one breakfast!) No evening ADR because we don't know where we'll be. I'm guessing we'll spend the evening at whatever park we feel we didn't see enough of!?

7/9 - Head home! We don't fly out til almost 6, so we'll have to get on the bus about 3. No idea what we'll do. Maybe just swim, shop, whatever...

So that's it in a nutshell! Any thoughts?:confused3

When we stayed at CBR in October our last day we didn't fly out until 3:30 so we had a nice breakfast at Chef Mickey. Some friends of mine had a similar itinerary (though at Coronado) and they used that last day to hit a park.

If you're using ME, just allow yourself plenty of time to get to the Custom House at CBR, we were practically running at the end to make our bus! We had to juggle a bit to make sure they had our luggage since check out was at 11, and then if I recall correctly Custom House doesn't have an internal bus stop, so we had to stop at the nearest village and walk over.

You say you're not sure about CRT. We are doing Akershus in Epcot to see the princesses without the $200 price tag. I've read lots of reviews and breakfast seems to get positive comments. Might want to,check it out!

If you have the water parks & more, the mini golf would be one of your included options. There's also Disney Quest. Now, I don't think they open until 11:00, so you wouldn't have much time, but since it's already paid for even if you went for an hour or two, the kids might enjoy that.

I think I would get up, pack up the room, store your luggage at the baggage counter at the resort and head out to either golf or DTD. But that's just one suggestion!

If you did a park, you could get fastpass + all scheduled 3 in a row during the short time you'd be there.

I vote for a lovely, leisurely breakfast somewhere....:thumbsup2 like Kona..... a ride around the monorail to see the sights,a long walk by the water to the Grand Floridian....perhaps rent a mouseboat on that lake (so fun) and then if time permits, hang by the pool at your hotel, let the kids swim, get a relaxed lunch.... use the bathhouses to dry off and change, then get your bus...I like to relax my way out of WDW:cool1: (you can still swim at CBR, just bring your clothes as carryon,no biggie if you use plastic bag to keep them dry while traveling home)

Go over to the Wilderness lodge and rent bikes. There is a nice paved path between the lodge and the campgrounds. It end by the barn and you can go in and look at the horses, look for hidden Mickey's. Have lunch at Trails End.

Or rent Sea Races at WL, Poly or GF and cruise around Baylake

When you are done just take the boat over to MK and hop on your resort bus.

We drive down from PA (17 hours) so our check out day is checking out at 1am and driving home.

The day before we check out is our "last day" we always pack, go to DTD, and just take it all in. We always do the parks in the beginning so by our last day, we want something relaxing for the journey home.

Do you need to eat at Plaza? I don't think reviews are very good. You might just want to do an 11 CS and then your 4:30 BOG.

On our rest day we are headed to AoA to see Radiator Springs. Maybe you could do that your last day?

We don't have to eat there, but my logic in booking the Plaza was that it was CS type food (burgers, sandwiches, etc) at close to CS prices and we're guaranteed a place to sit in the cool without waiting in line for an hour and then not even being guaranteed a place to sit when we finally get our food. I had a lot of people tell me to go with lunch and dinner ADR's on the 3rd & 4th due to the holiday crowds. I don't want to spend a fortune on lunch, but would love a reservation on a crowded day! ;)

AOA is another good idea. I've wanted to see that too!

This sounds like a good idea!! :thumbsup2 I was wondering how we would get cleaned up/ready if we wanted to swim after check out while we're waiting to get on the bus. If there is a bathhouse or something, that would work!

Same here, late flight I didn't plan for, good surprise.

We always have a late flight home (usually 7pm) so we have until 4 when Magical Express picks us up on the last day. We get park hopper tickets (the previous post about adding another day to a weeklong trip not costing a lot is correct!) We usually hit one of the parks (sometimes two, if our first choice is really crowded we try our second choice) and have a late lunch at the park before heading back to our resort for the bus. I love when we finally get home and I think back on our day and it occurs to me that earlier that day we were on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Test Track and now we're sleeping in our own beds. It's pretty amazing! :)
