My brother and his girlfriend are coming with us to Disney world for there first time ever this July and on a Thursday we will be going to universal studios the whole day and they just don't have the funds put aside for It. There looking to me to help them decide what to do on there free day without us. Is there any inexpensive things those two can do? I told them that night there going to pleasure Island to have some adult fun but what do do during the day that wont break there bank. I cant thank you enough for making me look like a hero planner in there eyes.:)

All they would need to do is add one day to their tickets. If their tickets are currently five days or longer it is only $2.13 each (including tax) to add an extra day. They could go to one of the parks on their own.

In case they would rather have a day off from the parks:

An off day is a good time to do laundry, if it needs to be done.

A fun and free activity is to walk through the different resorts, both indoor and outdoor areas. This is so interesting that I'd recommend it even to people who aren't especially trying to fill a free day. Each resort has a theme which is an attraction in itself.

Some resort areas have jogging trails (though I wouldn't recommend this for summer).

Mini-golf, while there is a cost, is another fun activity on a day off from the parks.

They can relax by the pool and then go to Downtown Disney and Westside. Of course, looking at all the different shops might not be cost effective, at least not in my case :rotfl: I love going to all the different hotels to check out the theming. I've never stayed at a deluxe so I usually go to those and wish I had more money :lmao:

There is always lounging around the pool. Going to downtown disney is a great idea. It is also fun to check out other resorts. We love to check out the other resorts. It is easy to get to them.

just ride the buses around can be entertaining....:lmao: :happytv:

Anyway seriously he can do at the Mk resorts - just get on the MK bus then get on the resort monrail.

Epcot resorts are just as easy - get on the bus to the Studios (not Epcot) - then either walk to them or take the boat.

at Pop they can actually walk over to CBR just be carefully.

First thing, eat breakfast at one of the resorts. Cut and paste the link below. meals are good and not to pricey.

Then, as someone else said, get on the bus or boat and go somewhere. One nice trip is to go to MGM and take a boat to the Boardwalk. Here you can shop, eat and there is a nice mimi-brewery. Your have to go back to the Swan or MGM to get a bus since you need aticket to get pass Epcot at the other end of the trip. You can also take a bus to Downtown and shop eat and drink. Ask questions and getting around is no problem.
