What to do on first night??

We're going to check in at the Yacht Club on Aug 17th (as early as we can!!). We plan on relaxing at stormalong bay, then go to Boma's for an early dinner (4:30 ps). Does anyone have any fun or different suggestions on what a group of eight can do after Boma's?? (without using one of our parkhopper days of course)

Mini golf would be fun......A bike ride on the boardwalk is always fun....The sury bikes are rented in front of the BWI...

Winterland/Summerland mini golf is just a real short ride from AKL... also you could go to Downtown Disney and do some shopping.

We always like to go to the top of the Contemporary on our first night just to have a look at whats ahead.

Downtown Disney is always fun. Lots of shops, and maybe something nice and sweet at Ghiardelli's.

Seeing that you're staying at YC, the Boardwalk would be a great idea. It's really pretty at night and you can stroll around at your pace and relax after that great dinner you're going to have at Boma (my favorite!). There are usually some fun "street performers" and if you have room left after dinner, a fantastic bakery and nice little coffee/cappucino kiosks. Have fun .

I'm adding a "vote" for Downtown Disney! There are so many neat shops to wander through. It's become a "tradition" with our family to go there on our first night, to have dinner (but you've got that covered), and kinda scope out the year's t-shirts, scrap books, coffee mugs, (all must have souveniers), as well as jewelry! It can really get us in the mood! One year, we went over to catch the "Electric Water Pageant" (But I don't know if they still run that). It's on the lake(?) lagoon (?) whatever that body of water that the CR, GF, and Poly are on.
