What to do in Port Canaveral

We will be arriving the evening before our 10/5 cruise and are wondering what might be fun to do. We're from Florida, so the pool really doesn't attract us. Hubby suggested a movie, but I figured we'd be watching several movies on the cruise.

Anyone have any fun suggestions??

do a search and look up Shirley's post on the manatees. That might be something that you might want to check out.

Go into town and stock up on tropical shirts and sunglasses!

Seriously, I would do a movie. You won't want to waste any cruise time inside the ship's theatre.

We went to see the manatees in the morning before we got on the ship. It's only about a 10-15 drive from the port. Well worth it. Bring some lettuce. It was quite an experience for our whole family!

1) Take Shirley out to lunch
2) Enjoy the beach
3) Have dinner
4) Go shopping at Ron Jon's (open 24 hours)
5) Go to bed early.

We're coming in the night before too and I'm hoping the space shuttle is delayed on Oct. 2nd and can't go up until Friday night say around 7 p.m.

Anyone have any pull at NASA who can help me out?
