It looks like at least one of our must do's for every trip is going to be closed in December, the HDDR. And there are rumors that CA Grill might be closed as well. Another must do for us on every trip. I am so bummed. Mostly about the HDDR though.
I have been trying to convince myself that we should try a different signature restaurant on our next trip but its so hard not to go to CA Grill when we know we love it so much. So maybe that will be a blessing in disguise and we'll try another signature and love it. We've done Yachtsman before and I know we like that one so maybe we will try something totally new to us like Jiko or maybe Artist Point.
But the HDDR probably being closed is so disappointing. We do this every trip and we all love it so much. I think its DH favorite part of the whole week. Its our evening dinner/entertainment on our no park day. We sleep in and then have a late breakfast at CM around 10:30. Then we usually go to the pool or DTD or take naps or whatever we feel like doing. Then we do the 7:00 seating at the HDDR. We usually get there about an hour or 45 minutes early and have drinks on the porch in the rocking chairs and relax until dinner. It just makes for a great day.
So now, I have to plan something else to do on our no park day for the evening. Any thoughts? We know we don't really like the Luau and I don't think we're really interested in the backyard bbq dinner but I can look into that one. I know Whispering Canyon serves a similar type food which is why I've never planned a dinner there so it might be a possibility. Any ideas?
