Good afternoon!

I was hoping for some advice. My family has been recently relocated to Florida and my husband wants to get us Disney passes as a birthday gift.

I am still undecided about the seasonal vs annual passes and I guess I have to make a decision soon, but that's really not why I'm writing...

My parents are coming to babysit on my birthday (March 23- a Monday). If you could go to any park on your birthday WITHOUT your children- which would it be? Where would you eat dinner?

2 years ago, for my husbands 40th, we flew to Orlando and ate at the Coral Reef in Epcot and I did the diver and personalized menu thing. He thought that was great and was really surprised.

He has NO intention of surprising me, so I thought I would ask the gurus!

I would really appreciate it, and yes, I realize it's only 2.5 weeks away!!

1st let me say - L U C K Y!!!! I would have LOVED that for my 40th (and Lord knows I hinted). That being said and choking back my tears..... I would say go with your style but deluxe if you can do it since its a celebration your free that day, gotta register 1st. I think I would stay at Beach/Yacht Club because of its close proximity of my favorite EPCOT, if unavailable maybe Poly because your still on the monorail loop! Have a great time and enjoy - let us know what you decided!!)

Firstly, Happy Birthday!!!

Secondly, I would go to MK and do the Keys to the Kingdom tour! Something the kids cannot attend until they are 16, and since you have a sitter, they won't be missing anything in the parks, as they will be with grammy & grampy.

Thirdly, I empathasize with you, I am a planner, and can surprise my DH with the best....but it never gets reciprocated!! I am 35 this year, and have to tell him what we are doing :)!!

Congrats on turning 40 (Yikes) I will also be turning 40 this year:scared1: and there's no other place I would want to spend my birthday than Epcot....strolling around the WS, enjoying the live entertainment and drinking around the world:goodvibes

Have fun!!!

Wow- some great ideas! Where do you get tickets for Keys to the Kingdom tour?

Where to go for dinner? Epcot? I really don't want character dining- lol...

Also, with is being such short notice- where do you think I could get in?

I was at Downtown Disney last night for drinks with a girlfriend and I have NEVER seen it so crowded! I wonder if the parks are just as crazy!

1. Disney Tour department at 407-WDW-TOUR
2. How about LeCellier or Tutto Italia?

I think your best bet would to think of a restaurant you'd like to go and try and see if there are times available to your liking.

Good Luck! Let us know what you decide!!

The title of your thread got me hooked! I'll be turning 40 at WDW later this year too!
If we didn't have our 3 sons with us, I think I would pick a romantic dinner for 2 at Cinderellas Royal Table.:lovestruc

Happy Birthday and Congrats on relocating to Florida :cool1:

I would recommend Le Cellier in EPCOT for dinner. That's where I will be having my birthday dinner (I have always wanted to eat there)

I will be turning 41 this year. Since I didn't make it to Disney for my 40th, I made it my mission to make sure I would be going this year :dance3:

I just wanted to say to everyone turning 40 or 41 this year, visit my thread "Calling all 1968 and 1969 babies!" and post your birhdays - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=30771304#post30771304

I'm also turning 40 this year... and my daughter and I will be going to WDW about 1.5 weeks after my birthday. I was thinking of doing a mother/daughter spa treatment... facial or massage... not sure... maybe a mani/pedi. Then we'd go for a nice dinner at The Wave.

So, my idea for you... say a couple's massage at the GF spa, then go to Narcosees for dinner. :cloud9: Have fun!
