I am a first timer to visit Universal and I would like some kind of plan for my day? I know everybody says to get there early, early. We are getting the 1 day/2park tickets and still would like to see some shows.

Help me to plan my day, please!
Universal and Island of Adventure.

Thanks!!

Getting there early is essential since you're only spending the day for both parks. I would suggest checking out the interactive map on this link:
http://www.universalorlando.com/amusement-parks/map.html

This will give you a general layout of the resort and with the map, you can see which attractions you really want to do. You can also check out YouTube to see ride videos of any attractions you're wondering about.

The three most popular shows at the Studios are: Animal Actors on Location, Horror Make-Up Show and Beetlejuice's Graveyard Review. All have different times based on the day of the week but the show times are posted in the park maps.

The only real show at IOA is the Eighth Voyage of Sindbad Stunt Show which has various times throughout the day but you can also catch Oh the Stories You Will Hear...at Suess Landing.

Just let us know if you have any specific questions after reviewing the website and videos and we will be glad to help further.

Ok I think i am going to change my mind on the tickets, I think I am going with 2 day/2 park.
So now how would you plan the day for each park?

If at all possible I would stay on-site for the one night to get the two days of unlimited Express Pass access. We were just there last week and being able to walk on all of the rides was great! If you're staying off-site I would get there for park opening. In IOA I would do:

1. Hulk (not me but my kids)
2. Dr. Doom
3. Spiderman
4. Popeye
5. Dudley Do Right
6. Jurassic Park
7. Pretadon Flyers (sp)
8. Dueling Dragons
9. Sinbad show
10. Posieden's Fury
11. Suess' Landing

There's also Storm Accelorator (sp) which I won't do (think teacups), which is next to Hulk.

In Universal I always start with the Mummy. Then:

Disaster, Jaws, Men in Black, Simpsons, Shrek, Twister, Jimmy Neutron (kids will do it but not me), Terminator, and ET. In between we fit in the Horror Make-up Show, Beetlejuice Graveyard Review and Animal Actors, depending on the times. If you have small children you'll want to do Barney and Fievel's Playground.
