I just got ridemax for my early June daytrip... mostly because I thought it'd be fun to play around with. We will have checked out of the hotel that morning, so won't be able to take an afternoon break per se, but we have a good chunk of "free time" on the plan between lunchtime and dinnertime. Do you usually just plan to visit some smaller attractions (railroad, storybook canal boats, etc) during this time? We'd like to take it easy since we'll be going all day.

That would be a great time to sit by Rivers of America, New Orleans Square, see the 50 years Movie, explore Pirates Lair, Visit the Animation place, see Aladdin, etc.

I think that is actually the intention with RideMax that you will have those long periods off for that sort of stuff. Have a great trip!

Definitely the best time to see shows and take it easy to rejuvenate for the evening. Besides what PP mentioned, there's also the Billy Hill show (awesome!), the Tiki Room, Muppet Vision 3D, Turtle Talk with Crush, and checking out the animation studio or Innoventions (we actually enjoyed the ASIMO show and trying out the segway). Lots of options. :thumbsup2

There are SOOOOO many things to do at Disneyland besides the rides. I always feel that first-time visitors (not saying you are one) spend the entire day checking off rides and never take the time to be able to capture the magic of the Park itself.

Wander through the streets / shops in NOS. Sit at the Rivers of America and watch the world go by, hear the music, see entertainers (if they are around).

Idk if RideMax includes shows, but if it doesn't DO NOT miss them. Some of the shows at DL are fantastic! I am a big fan of Billy Hill and the Hill Billies (comedy and talented musicians combined). The BootStrappers are great. LOVE the Dapper Dans.

Wander Main Street. Watch magic in the Magic Shoppe. Watch silhouette artists. Go to the alcoves on Main Street where there are windows and stop and listen to what is happening inside those buildings. I'll bet 1,000s of DL visitors have no clue about that!

I could go on and on, but there are 1,000s of wonderful non-ride things to do at DL. Many times I will spend HOURS at DL and never step foot on a ride. Sometimes, those are my best days.

Oh, and at DCA, the Animation Building is a place you could spend hours (not sure if RideMax includes that one or not).

Hope this helps. Have fun!
