What to do during Food/Wine fest?

I have never been to WDW during the Food/Wine festival and I have noticed that many people plan their trips around this event. I consider myself pretty knowlegeable about tips and do's and don'ts throughout the rest of the year so I would really like to get a handle on things before this November trip.

#1--I thought that this was a slow time of year--does it effect crowds very much?
#2--I believe that in Epcot there are kiosks that you can get samples of food and wine in each country--is there any thing else that I should look for?

Any suggestions would be great! We will be there from 11/6-11/14. Our gang consists of myself, DH, DD age 8, DS age 6, DD age 5. (We will be celebrating my b-day and DD 5th b-day during our trip!)

Epcot is more crowded during this time. My tip would be get out of Epcot around 6pm. We were there last year with our kids and around 7pm, there were a lot of people who were drunk.
We saw a few people arguing and yelling. A few were loud and boisterous and quite a few people were swearing all over the place.

We just left early.

This is still a GREAT ( and yummy) time to visit WDW although it is getting more crowded than in years pass...the secret is out about the wonderful weather and the once low crowds...it's still my family's favorite time for a WDW trip!

On the weekends during F&W Epcot is defintely crowded.I found going around WS during the week and in the later afternoon to be very pleasant.We've also had fun lunching around the world.For me it's easier to read the menu signs when it's light outside,my eyes can't focus in the dark!! LOL! Did I just admit I'm getting old?!?!

Anyway you'll be there in Nov. which is less crowded than F&W in Oct. because there are alot of schools that have a Fall Break in Oct. these days plus MNNSHP going on over at MK in Oct.

A couple of the food booths that we always like to try (some things are there every year and new stuff each year too) are the cheddar cheese soup and maple fudge at Canada,stroganoff in Russia...my DH is in love with the Samuel Adams display! You can easily eat lunch just going from booth to booth.I don't believe any food is over $4,with some things being very nice size portions.
