What to do before heading to the airport?

Our flight leaves out of LAX on Saturday 9/3 @ 4:15pm. We have to return our rental car, so I'm planning on being there for 1:30pm. That being said, what do you do on your last day? I've been to WDW so many times and can name a lot of things to do, but we're still new to Disneyland and the area. Should we just have breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen and then wander around Downtown Disney? Or is there somewhere closer to the airport we can visit? My group consists of me, my husband and my 2 girls, ages 6 & 9. Thanks for your suggestions!

I' realax and do a later character breakfast - but of course I'd pick Mickey's over Goofy's as we have found it be a much better experience.

We like to go have a nice breakfast or just hang out at the hotel and let the kids swim. We love Goofy's for breakfast or dinner.

We like to go to Farrel's Ice Cream Parlor about 8 miles away in Brea. There is a closer one near Knotts Berry Farm but haven't been there. Great lunches and the best ice cream around. The antics of the wait staff brings back memories of Farrels from the 1970's.

For breakfast we always head to Knotts Diner one of the days of our trip. Love chicken and eggs!
