This will be our first trip as owners:cool1:
I've got the THV reserved but am torn with the idea of trying to get either BLT or BCV at the 7 month mark. We are a family of 6: me,hubby,dd7,ds5,ds5, and grandma in an ECV. I think BLT would be neat for the kids but not sure if grandma can negotiate her ECV around BLT? BCV pool looks awesome. If you were me what would you do and why?:confused3
Thanks everyone!!

I am uncertain why you think there would be difficulty at BLT with an ECV? It should be just as easy as any other DVC. And loading on a monorail is much easier than a bus so IMO you have better access to Epcot and MK.

I'd be more concerned with THV unless you have one of the handicapped units rented. If I remember correctly from the pictures most of them have steps up to the entry except the ones with handicapped access - those have very long ramps. You do need to make special arrangements for them.

Personally, I think the mobility would be more of an issue at THV. I haven't stayed there personally, but I've heard that they are very secluded from the rest of the resort, which is a nice thing for some folks; however, if you are not going to have your own car, it might be a challenge for grandma to get the ECV to the bus stop and load it each time.

At both BLT and BCV you have walking/easy access to two parks. At BLT, you could walk/monorail to the MK, and you can monorail to Epcot. At BCV you can walk/boat to DHS and Epcot. Both of these seem to be more convenient for grandma.

As far as between those two choices, I would base my decision on what your plans are. If you primarily want to relax at the resort and use the pool, maybe try BCV. If you know you will spend lots of time at MK, maybe go for BLT.

Good luck with your decision! :goodvibes
