We really enjoy our "kid free" trips now that the "kids" are all grown up. If they were still littles, I may have a nostalgic moment or two, so expect them.
1. Make ADRs at places where they do not serve "kid food". Try new flavors. Enjoy World Showcase at night.
2. Ride "the Big Kid rides...ride together where rider swap may have been required before. Release your inner child.
3. Take time to really enjoy the theming of the parks. Find the hidden gardens. Walk the trails in AK ... slowly.
4. Enjoy adult beverages and entertainment at venues in Disney Springs or at the resorts.
5. Strike up a conversation with random other adult only guests. I have had more fun learning about others experiences at WDW than many would think. Some of the best advice and stories have come from fellow guests on grownup trips over a cocktail or two. I've met retired CMs, current CMs, Chefs from other countries, all kinds of interesting people.
6. Go according to your own schedule. Do not underestimate the "Magic" of not adherin to the childen's schedule. No naps unless you want one. No meltdowns, unless you're about to have one. No bedtime that doesn't fit your own. Simply Magical.
