What to do after Illuminations or Fantasmic?

Instead of fighting crowds, what do you do? I've thought about going to the Boardwalk afterwords by walking or boat, but wasn't sure if I'm being unrealistic. Would like to go to Beaches and Creams, but didn't know where the boat dock is in relation to B & C, or if walking distance is do-able. I know many talk about just taking time to get out of the park by enjoying a snack or something else to eat, or just sitting on a bench and people watching. In case I don't want to do that, or stand in line for our bus, what do you do? In these cases I'm talking about when Illuminations and Fantasmic end the day in these parks. Thanks in advance for your advise--you guys have made me more prepared for my WDW trip than I ever imagined. I love it.

Go home and soak your feet!

How about going to Downtown Disney and shop in the Market Place, grab a latte at West End and hit the Virgin store or House of Blues, or get crazy at Pleasure Island!

If your pool is open late and the weather is right, take a dip in the pool!

Take a walk around your resort and get intimate with it/each other!

After a full day at the park, I just sit on a bench in a dazed stupor trying to summon up the energy to walk to the car.

We were at Illuminations on Wednesday night, and afterwards, we found a bench, and watched the people...

...about 25 minutes later, a CM walked by and said we had found the 'perfect' way to end the evening. He said that in about 10 more minutes, the crowds would be gone, and we'd have 'smooth sailing' to the exits.

...and he was SO right! It was so wonderful!

Easy walking distance to Beaches and Cream, about the same distance as to the front of Epcot main gate to World Showcase. Exit Epcot at International Gatway between France and UK. Just make sure you have transportation back from Boardwalk/Y&B resort area. If you parked in Epcot lot, you will have a hard time getting back. Beaches and Cream is the best! The kitchen sink is huge!
