What to cook on a George Forman grill? I bought mind at the goodwill and did not come with a cookbook.

The only thing I have cook on it is steak is there anything else I can cook on it.

Please something simple because I need idiot proof cooking directions.

Has anyone cook ribs on there's.

Is there any websites, books that would help on how to cook food on it.

I use mine to make pressed sandwiches, like paninis.

My favorite one is french bread with brie, spinach and roasted peppers. Squish it down good, then put it in the Foreman until the cheese gets melty and the bread is marked. IF you want to get fancy, throw some mushrooms and caramelized onions on there -- yum!

I also grill portabello mushrooms on mine -- marinate them in whatever's laying around, and they make a great supper with a salad or as a sandwich.

Quesadillas come out really good -- nice and crispy on the outside.

My family love swordfish and pork cutlets on ours. Also good for burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches.

I simply love mine but wish I had the big one.

You might want to do a search on the DIS. I know we've put recipes for marinades and stuff before.
I like to cook any meat without a bone in it. I've also had good luck with portabellos and asparagus. It kind of steams vegetables.

We have cooked boneless chicken breasts, steaks, pork chops, hamburgers, grilled cheese, hot dogs, and shrimp. Just prepare as you would ordinarily and then plop it on the Foreman grill. We don't use it as often as we could because DH much prefers the outdoor grill so the Foreman is shelved for most of the spring/summer.

Eveyone else has mentioned the items I cook on mine. But I'd like to offer a cleaning tip. After unplugging it, I put a doubled wet paper towel on it and close the cover. Make sure you leave the drip catcher there. Then, just wipe it clean when it is cool. Works great when you use sticky marinades.

I just love mine and cook anything that I would normally grill on it like Chicken breast with or without a marinade, pork and lamb chop, Sausages ( i think you might call these links) - we had those last night and I got 2 tray fulls of fat out of 8 fat sausage !!!! disgusting. I grill vegetables like tomatoes, sweet potatoes, courgettes ( although I think you call these something else but can't remember), and fruit dusted in fine sugar like bananas, pineapple, magoe etc. so basically go on experiment and have a great time cooking healthy tasty food.

We do boneless pork chops, steaks, boneless chicken breasts and wurst-type sausage sliced lengthwise to help cook off the fat.

The kids love for me to do a package of sandwich steaks and then slice them into strips. I then make a tomato sauce from canned tomatoes and onion and whatever fresh veggies I have on hand (squash or broccolli work well). I usually add a little tomato sauce to thicken it up. Throw in the meat and some cooked pasta and you have a tasty meal! It's different every time because I vary the pasta and the veggetables. They call it Steak-a-roni.

AuntieS, you're my hero! My boyfriend's grill was getting nasty -- I tried that with a little bit of soapy water and it looks good as new!

I have cooked just about everything on mine!! Hamburgers, chicken with barbeque sauce, pork, steak, grilled ham and cheese...Just about anything you cook in a pan you can cook on that grill...well with the exception of eggs, haven't figured that one out yet!;) I also cook veggies as well...I love my grill and hardly ever use a pan anymore! :)

I love my Foreman grill! There is so much you can cook on it. Aside from the meats mentioned, I have also done:

grilled veggies - onion, green pepper, zucchini - marinate in Italian dressing and grill about 4 mins

grilled cheese & quesadillas

french toast

I make something my ds calls pretend pie. Grill apple slices on the GF. Wrap in a tortilla with some whipped cream. Yum!

I've cooked pork chops and chicken, and they have come out delicious. We did make burgers one time, and they were pretty disgusting. The grill cooks the fat out of it, and when they were done, the burgers were very, very dry. The chicken and chops were great.

SoonerKate, I love the idea of grilling sandwiches! I'm going to try that tonight!

I also cover the drip tray with foil, after cooking, put the tray in the freezer and when the grease is frozen, wrap up the foil and throw away! I've never had to wash that tray yet!

I cook bacon on mine. If it is the regular bacon, I cut the strips in half. If it is the center cut bacon, they will usually fit on the grill.

Deb and Bill,

How do you get the bacon crisp, when I do bacon on mine it never gets crisp
