We are planning a trip in Dec of 2006. Although it is over a year away, there are a few things I am concerned about. I am not sure when Pop-Warner is going to be and this is not a bashing thread about them. IMHO, everyone deserves to go to WDW at least once in their life. My kids are young, they will be 3 and 5 and we know that park hours are shorter in early december. I have heard that the deluxe savannah views at AKL are harder to reserve due to the smaller number of rooms there that sleep 5. We are a party of 5. 3 adults 2 kids. One of whom is a friend of the family.

We thought about doing a split stay at POP/AKL and we could do that but I just am not sure
#1- How my kids will do splitting the stay
#2- if pop warner is there, how crowded the values would be.

For the current time we have decided to stick with a Deluxe. We have a discount code and that makes many deluxes at least reasonably affordable? What would you chose?

We have it narrowed down to 4.

AKL- Friend really wants to stay here, but we are concerened with busing it everywhere.

Poly-I have always wanted to stay here. It is the same price as AKL room and is closer and DD loves MK

CR- have stayed here before-it is cheaper than anything else and we would request a wing room. We would have more money for stuff like MVMCP.

GF-a late entry in the pool of hotels. Highest price of the 4. Not sure about the decor. Maybe the only way to afford this hotel.

Where would you chose???

Bugsmom...

I have stayed at all except for AKL...so can't speak about that one. But, I would choose the Poly. I think this resort is great! It is on the monorail, the themeing is one-of-a-kind, and it has some great restaurants and extra's. The torches at night are beautiful - and you can sit on the beach and watch Wishes at night from MK.

So, Poly would be my choice.... :cheer2:

Depending on the ages of the kids, the game room at CR can't be beat!! And since the parks close somewhat early during the winter, there might be time t visit the game room!!

We visited WDW this past December 5-12 and right smack-dab during Pop-Warner. They were everywhere! We stayed at Pop Century and the pools had cheerleaders in them all the time. They did behave well, but there were a few times when it was a little noisy late at night. It really didn't bother us at all.

We have stayed at all four on multiple occasions.

My favorite resort is the POLY. With that being said, based on all of your comments......going in December.....I would choose the GF! Absolutely beautiful during the holiday season!
