O.K. First time to Disney, what types of clothes do I pack for our family. We are coming from Iowa so it will be cold here (Dec 14-25,2007). But I was wondering if it will be shorts weather or maybe jeans/ t-shirts? Will it be too cool for sleveless? Any advice will help.:confused3

When is your trip? Right now, a light jacket or long sleeves is fine for the morning and evening. Shorts are still doable, too.

If you go to www.accuweather.com it has some of the best weather information on the web. It will tell you the average norm for anytime, details of the last 60 days weather (handy if you're planning a year in advance like me!) and other good info for traveling. I love this site! :thumbsup2

i would say pack a few pairs of pants as well as shorts some sweatshirts and some t's but as said above check the weather in advance you you know what to pack for

It really depends, I went one year in December when it was like 80 the first day or two and closer to the 30's and 40's the rest of the time. I suggest you check the 10 day weather forcast right before you leave, and even if you decide temp wise, you won't need shorts, or you won't need pants, take one pair per person just in case.

We are going 12/05 through 12/14 this year, and went the same dates in 2005. I'm going to be watching accuweather for sure! In 2005 I wore long sleeves and pants during the day and a coat at night. I'm from Illinois and I HATE to be cold, but others on our trip wore short sleeves during the day and shorts a couple of days...FIL even swam 1 day. It was in the low to mid 70's during the day and 50's at night.

The weather has finally cooled off a bit - high in the low 70's today. So you'll definitely want to bring sweat shirts or jackets for the evening (especially over at Epcot where the wind can really kick up at night!). But during the day, short sleeves in the sun will be fine. Have a great time!

My family and I are going to be in Disney :santa: the same week, and we are planning on wearing blue jeans and t-shirts during the day and throwing on sweatshirts in the evening. We went in 2005, and it was pretty chilly (50's) on a few days. Most of the time we were comfortable wearing blue jeans and long sleeves. However, I think you will need some sort of light weight jacket or sweatshirt in the evenings. So to be on the safe side, we are packing both short and long sleeves and a few sweatshirts/light weight jackets. We can layer if needed. I am not planning on packing any shorts. Unless they have an unusually hot December, I think jeans will be comfortable.

Have fun preparing and packing!

The weather in Orlando during late December really is quite changeable. Last year, it was warm through Christmas Day -- shorts-wearing weather. The year before, it was really chilly until a couple of days after Christmas. We even wore winter coats, hats, and mittens at night -- and we were far from the only ones doing this!!
