were going to disney in august. im gonna get a small bag to carry around with me because in july when we went i got sick of having to go in my dads bag for everything. so far i think im gonna carry:

sunglasses
phone
ipod
i think im gonna bring a water bottle i can fill up when i need 2.
camera
batteries
memory card
my normal glasses
gum
and a snack.

1: is there anything else you think ill need
2: any suggestions for what to do about rides with the bag
3: any suggestions for a bag i like vera bradley and i have the normal tote and tic tac tote. so a vera bradley bag would be great. i also have the yellow and white striped mickey bag that i got in disney.

thanks!:goodvibes

Chap stick!!!!! You'll need it in July~

I used a Vera Backpack on my last trip in June... loved it! I really never took it off! since there really wasn't much in it, I left it on during the rides. It was almost like a back pillow~
My girls used the Vera back sacks, and loved those too~

Have fun!

how much was the vera backpack? and how much does the backsack hold? andi completely forgot chapstick thanks!

As for price, we bought them on sale before Christmas, so I really cant remember....

The back sack's are just about the same size as spike bags. If it helps. my girls use them during cheer for their shoes and a bottle of water. Not to big.

The back pack was better for keeping things organized. I tried the hip bags too but found them really uncomfortable.

Another great thing for your bag is the travel sized hand wipes. Great for snacking and for those times you cant wash your hands~

I'm 16 and I usually carry the same stuff you mentioned. I also take a baseball cap for when my hair gets frizzy and to keep the sun out of my eyes if I don't have my sunglasses on. I usually use a messanger bag. It has a lot of extra space in it for when I buy souvenirs and it's right on your side for easy access and you can just put it in your lap on rides :woohoo:

you may want to bring some flavor packs for your water bottle in case you don't like the taste of water.

Sunblock...

I got a Vera Back Sack on sale (a retiring print, but I didn't care) on the Vera web site for $15! It has a few open pockets inside and a zipper pocket outside. Have a great time!

pack some single drink mixes (like crystal lite) for your water bottle.. and more than just "a snack" lol the days are long and you will burn lots of calories!

also, you can get the disposable rain ponchos for under a dollar at walmart or the dollar stores.. great for fitting in a bag without taking up much space, better than carrying a full size one, or worst, having to buy one at disney prices! even when it doesn't rain, I like to wear it for the water rides (but we tend to go during colder months, so may not be an issue for you)

if you're not going to wear the pocho to stay dry during water rides (with the bag on your lap) take a couple of ziplocks to tuck in your bag for storing camera/phone etc.. stuff you want to keep dry!!!

for rides where you set the bag on the floor in front of you, slip your leg thru the strap, it keeps the bag in place on turns/spins, and helps keeping you from forgetting the bag as you exit :rotfl:

I'd stick a zip-lock bag in there to use as a waterproofer for the iPod and phone in case you go on a wet ride or get stuck in a thunderstorm (assuming your primary bag isn't completely waterproof).

thats a really good idea thanks!

We have Kleenex in everyone's bag.

Leave the poncho and sunblock in your dad's bag, you won't need those too often.

My DD16 used my Vera backsack as well, had the same things you mentioned.

You might want to bring a few bandaids or some moleskin in case you are not near a first aid station and your feet blister. :)
