What time would you try to get to AK for a 8AM EMH?

in order to be front of the line for Rope Drop.

I think the general consensus is 7, but maybe as early as 6:30? Let's get some recent experiences going. Might help to know if you're going at a busy time.

ETA: Thinking about your desire to be at the FRONT OF THE LINE, it's probably 6:30.

I would get there by 7AM. When we went in June, they had a 7AM EMH. We got there at 5:45AM. By 6:15AM there were about 2,000 people waiting for the security check. By the time they let us back near 7AM, there were probably 5,000 people at FoP with a 200 minute wait when we got off. We were on the first ride, so about 7:20AM it was over 3 hour wait.

That's just nuts .
So for our 8am EMH I will try to get my group to be there for 6:45. It's our only AK day and we don't have a FOP fastpass so rope drop is important. My family will be on board..we are rope droppers. If someone would like to try and convince my 24 year old brother he needs to be there that early ... be my guest .
Luckily we are at Silver Lake which is about 4 minutes exactly from the AK parking lot . If they don't want to rope drop, they can Uber and come later .

Left room at Poly at 7:10 and got there at 7:40 the other day.We stayed to the right for security and entrance to park, with family of four. They hold u up at a bridge when you enter the park, and we were only a few rows back. So stay to the right , for security and entrance.

This is my plan for our AK day and FoP as well. For 8am EMH, will the busses be running by 6am? I would think by 6:30 at least (have to bus do to ECV)

We were at AK yesterday for early EMH. They only started letting people in at 8am. Perhaps an anomaly, but no letting people in earlier, holding at the bridge.

To be at the front of the pack, I think 7am or so is still the safest bet.
