Hello,

We will be using Magical Express, and I'm wondering what time we'll need to leave the park in order to make our flight on time. Our plane takes off at 8:00p.m. I think we'll be at MGM that day, but anything's possible. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi,

ME will generally pick you up at your resort about 2.75-3 hours before your flight...so in your case, some time between 5 and 5:15.

So you'll need to allow time to leave the park, get transportation back to your resort, and get your bags out of storage.

DME will schedule your pick up at about 5:00 p.m. at your resort. You'll need to plan to be back and ready to go about 15 minutes before that. Be sure to leave extra to get any carry ons (or all of your luggage if you can't or just didn't use resort check in) out of bell services. I'd say you'll need to be out of MGM between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., depending on what you'll need to do when you get back to the resort and your overall risk/stress tolerance.

When DME gives you a time, they mean that's the time the bus leaves!!! Don't plan on ambling on over to the bus stop about 5:05 if they tell you a time of 5:00. The bus will most likely be gone! So....if they tell you pick up time is 5:00, you need to be back at your resort by 4:15 or so. You will need up to 20 mins. to get your stored bags from Bell Services. And there will be others doing the exact same thing you are, so there can be a line. It's much better to be at the resort, early, rather than worry about rushing around, like a chicken with no head, trying to get bags, get in the bus line, grab a last minute bite to eat.
