What Time to do CRT Breakfast?

My 180 day is approaching & I want to try to get a breakfast reservation at CRT. The question is...what time??? None of our dates have extra magic hours, so the park would be opening at 9am every day. The kids in the group ARE early risers so it wouldn't be a problem to get them going.

We're staying on-site; will the bus be running early enough to get us to MK if we get a reservation before opening??? Or should we do a reservation closer to opening??? Will we have to wait at the gate until a certain time and/or be stuck in the line of all the people just waiting to get into the park?

I've read you're supposed to be at the castle about 15 minutes before the resrvation time, so I'm trying to do the math backwards. (It will be my first time at CRT)

Thanks!

We had an 8:05 yesterday morning. We were on the bus by 7:30 am, through bag check and into the park by 7:55. We did a quick bathroom stop, took a picture on main street, did a detour because the cranes were working and we had to go around back and checked in for our reservation at 8:06. Took our picture with Cindy, ate, met all the princesses, had a birthday cupcake to boot and we were still out in time for the park opening at the back of the castle. We were the first riders of the day on It's a Small World.

(I will note I was pretty hungry pretty soon after breakfast. But the crab and lobster crepes were delicious.)

I've always heard the first one is the best, in the park early with no one else so you have the opportunity to take pics with no one in the background, you are in and out before park opens and then able to make the most of your morning! We have an ADR at 8:05 on our first full day in May!

FYI for next time, you could have ordered more if you were still hungry. CRT bfast is all you care to eat.

To the op, I would shoot for an early pre park opening time so that you are finished right around rope drop time.

If you can not get that, I would do rope drop and then a late breakfast (10:30-10:45) to make the most of the morning.
