Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I am looking for information on how long it will take to get from point A to point B. We will be using Disney transportation only. I did a search but came up empty handed for what I was specifically looking for.

1- We are staying at POP and will be hitting each of the 4 parks at rope drop, well that's the plan anyway! What time should I have our group at the appropriate bus stop each morning?

2- We arrive on Saturday 11/24:banana: but it won't be a park day. We would like to check out the Christmas displays at GF and AKL and a few others places if time permits. Any suggestions on the the easiest way to get to other hotels?

I would plan on being at the bus stop at least two hours before rope drop for the park. The busses start running @ 6:30, but that doesn't mean that's when a bus will be at the resort. I'm not sure if the busses run on an every 20 minute schedule like they will later in the day. Two hours gives you 30 minutes to wait for the bus, a 30 minute ride, then an hour of "extra" time.

"Easiest" and "Cheapest" is not the same. "Easiest" would be getting a car/taxi. "Cheapest" would be taking Disney transportation to a park, then from that park to GF/AKL.

1. It depends on what you really mean. If you want to be at the park, among the very first to arrive...then be at the bus stop no less than 90 mins prior to park opening. But, if you just want to be amoung the group that enters at park opening, then you can be at the bus stop no less than an hour or so prior. The buses will start getting crowded about 45 mins before park opening....when you get to the park, there will be a large group waiting if you arrive 30-45 mins prior to opening.

2. I love touring the resorts at Christmas time. I would take the bus to MK...then head over to CR, check it out, and take the boat over to WL...it really shouldn't be missed!! Boat back to the CR and onto the monorail and head over to the GF. Back to MK and hop on the bus to AKL...check it out and then maybe check out Kidani. From there, take the bus back to AK and transfer to the BW bus...then you can check out the Epcot resorts..just walk around the lake. When you are done, you can walk or boat to DHS and take the bus back to Pop. Or, just take a cab...very short ride.
I do that all in one day...shouldn't take too long even if you linger at the resorts.

Goofy4tink....I just learned something new. Thank you! I never knew there was a boat from CR to WL. Where do you catch that boat?

We always plan to be at the bus stop an hour before rope drop, and besides one freak incident (no bus to DHS from CR for 45 mins.) we've never had a problem and always have plenty of time before rope drop. Since DHS and Epcot now let guest in early (anywhere from 5-10 mins. to 20mins.), we'll probably try to get to the bus stop an hour and a half early...although if you're staying at Pop, an hour would be plenty of time, as you have no other stops and DHS and Epcot are very close to you.

Behind the CR, there is a boat dock. I loved taking the boat from WL over to CR in the morning...then I would walk to MK from there!!

Thanks for the information everyone. It is so appreciated. I am practically counting the hours til we get there!

Glad you asked this question. I was wondering the same thing and couldn't find the info anywhere.

Here now - not really rope drops anymore - sometimes getting in parks as much as 15 min. earlier to keep the *rush* more manageable. The MK still has opening ceremony.
