What time should we leave AKL?

We will be staying at AKL next week and visiting AK. We will be using the bus to get to the park. What time would you recommend being at the bus stop in order to be at AK for rope drop at 9:00? We will be coming back to the room in the afternoon and returning that evening. We want to eat at Pizzafari and get a drink at Nomad's Lounge before seeing the 1st show of the Harambe Acrobats at 7:00. What time would you recommend we leave to go back to the park? Thanks!

My rule of thumb is to aim to be at the bus stop one hour before the park opens. I rarely make it, but I usually get to the stop 45 minutes early. That generally allows me to get to the park about a half hour before it officially opens. I'm never close to the front of the line at the park, but close enough that I can get on most first rides with little to no wait.

I agree with BuffaloJim. I would get to the bus stop at least 45 minutes before rope drop. You could also uber over and it would cost you next to nothing. To go back in time to get a bite to eat, Nomad's and Acrobats (all GREAT, BTW), I would be at the bus stop by 4 pm, 4:30 pm at the latest. Pizzafari might not take long, but I personally enjoyed sitting a relaxing for a while in Nomad's. It's lovely and the drinks are fantastic! Again, you could always uber back and forth as well.

AK is very close to AKL - it's basically a few minutes on the bus.
I don't really find that AKL rope drop is as important as other parks in terms of being first at the gate. Even being at the "back of the line," so to speak, should still enable you to ride Expedition Everest multiple times with little wait (if you were so inclined).
