What time should I leave AKL...

...to get to AK at "rope drop"? I will be taking Disney Transportation to AK.

It's a 10 minute trip by bus. If you wait for 20 minutes for the bus, then you should be there in 30 minutes total. If you want to be first in line, you can get on the first bus to AK. They start running an hour before the park opens.

So, if the trip is only 10 minutes, should I plan on being at the bus stop by 8:15 for a 9AM opening? That will leave time to wait for the bus. Where is the bus stop in relation to the front door of the hotel?

I think 45 minute will give you plenty of time to be at the front of the line.

The bus stops are just to the left of the main entrance, down a covered walkway, about 50 yards.
