Our 1st night at WDW will be on Dec. 3. There is a MVMCP that night, and I want to have PS's at CA Gril at the CR during Wishes. BF has never been to WDW before and I thought this would be perfect for his first night there (we aren't going to the parks our first day).

I've made a PS already for 8:20 PM, assuming Wishes will be at 9. But if they are at 10, we may miss them. Anyone know for sure, or at least knows when they had them last year?

TIA! :wave2:

This has been the time for the fireworks since the MVMCP went to the 7pm - Midnight schedule. I'm sure it will be the same this year - so your 8:20 ps is probably just right. If you don't get a window table, you can just walk outside on the deck to watch.

Best wishes -

Uh-oh! Two differant answers! :(

7 seems kind of early though, I can't remember fireworks ever being so early when the park is open late. 9:15 sounds more like it. Anyone else have an opinion?

Edited to add: I don't think the link is right. It shows no Wishes for Dec. 9th, and we have MVMCP tickets that night. Disney advertises that they have Wishes for all party dates, so I think wdwinfo got this one wrong. I'm going with the 9:15 PM time, for now.

Thanks everyone!

Chicago526,

Hi neighbor! It looks like we have very similar plans. DW, DD, and I are going to be at the Poly from 12/3 thru 12/13, to celebrate both girls' birthdays. DD will be 4 on 12/5 (which is also Walt's birthday) and that's when we're doing MVMCP. On 12/3 we'll be at DTD, since it's one of only 2 nights during our stay that we can catch La Nouba.

I had heard that the fireworks on MVMCP was a different show, that Wishes only played on other nights, but I'm no expert and could easily be wrong. Not that it matters, I'm sure we'll see both during our stay.

Maybe we'll run into each other during our trip. Just look for the most adorable little blonde princess you've ever seen. Look closely at her hands, I'll be the guy who's completely wrapped around her little finger.

I don't believe that Disney will list Wishes on the calendar for the MVMCP nights. Disney only lists the shows and events that will be available during regular park hours. Wishes will not be shown during regular park hours. 9:15 sounds about right during the party though.

Last year the fireworks during the party was Wishes. They didn't add or change anything. Previous years the party fireworks were the usual Fantasy in the Sky, with a special MVMCP thing at the end. It used to be so cool. Fantasy in the Sky would end and many people would start to make a move to the exit or wherever they were going next. Little did they know........What's that? Sleigh bells, and Santa Goofy says a few words. After that there was a wonderful bout of fireworks that culminated with HUGE red and green shells surrounding the park a full 360 degrees. There were multiple volleys of these incredible fireworks and they were amazing. Alas, I was hoping for the same at the end of Wishes during the party last year but it didn't happen. Too bad. Still a great party.

Did I goof? I just made a 7:30 p.m. PS for 12/10 at CG. Figure fireworks at 9:15; would be about the right timing for finishing up with dessert - then fireworks. Then I see you guys talk about an 8:20 p.m. PS for the 9:15 fireworks. Am I way too early. I only asked for 7:30 p.m. but he said it was really booked that night and I got the last 7:30 p.m. slot for two people. Oh, fret, fret.

I think the schedule on from the DIS is wrong, on 12/2 and 12/3 there is the MVMCP which starts at 7:00 so there would not be fireworks at 7:00.
There is a thread started by raysharpton and he listed the schedule from last years MVMCP and Wishes were at 9:15.

Here's the party description from disneyworld.com:

So they should have Wishes for all the party dates, right? I know they won't list the time, so that's why I was wondering if anyone knew from years previous what time they've had it.

And notyetretired, I hope we see each other, too! Look for the young couple running around acting like 5 year olds, that'll be us! We'll be at Poly until the 11th, and we're doing MVMCP on the 9th.

And rlduvall, just eat reeeeaaaaallllly sloooooow, and order desert, and linger over coffee! ;)

rlduvall... I think you'll be ok at 7:30pm. We made our PS's for 12/10 at 'Ohana's at 7:40pm. I figure if Wishes is at 9:15 we should just be finishing with dessert about then. I thought 7:40 might be a little early too, but then I figured we might not get seated right away, especially since we want to request a table near the window and will wait awhile for one to become available.

I think 7:30pm is a good time.. just eat slow!
