What time is the MK rope drop ?

This question may have been asked before, I know the MK opens at 9:00 am but is the rope drop at 9:00 am also. What hapens at the rope drop ? because my DH and I have never been to the MK during the rope drop.

Don't expect a big deal for the rope drop. There is a little "ceremony" and then they let everybody into the park. The advantage of being there then is that you are ahead of all those folks that are just arriving at the parking lot at opening time. It gives you a chance to get on a couple of the most popular attractions before the lines get too bad.

The "rope drop" is exactly at 9:00. It's a cute little show with the characters coming to the front of the park via the train and they sing a song (Good morning! Good moooooorning!) and then the park opens. The end.

Google "rope drop at MK" and you'll find the YouTube video of it. It starts about 8:50am and then ends at 9am...when they actually let you into the park. If you are in the park (for a breakfast ADR), there is an actual rope that gets dropped to let you from the restaurant into the park at 9am.
