They have taken my brother down for procedure. It's been a strange morning as our other brother who I have not talked to in 4 years is here.

Praying that the procedure goes well for your brother. Who knows? This illness/health scare may be healing the rift between your family members.

Sending a prayer for you, your brother and all the Health Care professionals.

Procedure was a success and Bob is already on the way home with my other brother (after they stop for medication).

They are putting him on a toxic medicine which could cause liver, thyroid and lung problems…but only for a couple of months because it helps strengthen heart muscles. After a couple of months on that, they will put him on another medication. This has a good chance of working and, hopefully, a heart transplant will not be needed in the near future.

Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes.

Responses and an update will be coming a little later. I need a drink! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Praise the Lord! That's wonderful news!

Good Morning, Kathy. Just caught up from the past couple of days. So sorry to hear of Mark's job situation. Not fun to have that sort of thought always hanging over your head. I will definitely keep you both in my thoughts and prayers that the situation will provide you an open window soon! And will keep your brother in my prayers for a healthy recovery.

Awesome hat photos!! We stopped in the hat shop a couple of times this summer to listen in on the 3 way caller conversations. :rotfl: DD thought it was funny that neighbors could listen in on each other's conversations. Ah, yes. Gossip and eavesdropping in its' glory years.

Did you stop long enough to hear the piano and voice lessons going on in that little sidestreet? That was a fun stop for us-in a shady spot.

Looking forward to the rest of your day.

So glad to hear the procedure went well, Kathy. :goodvibes

You need a drink but not from Starbucks!! :rotfl:

I'm glad that things are looking good now!!!! :thumbsup2

The kind from Starbucks, or a real drink? :confused3 :lmao:

Well, you know, a little airplane bottles of Bailey or Kahlua makes Starbucks even better. :)

The picture of Mark with the tiny top hat on his head is hilarious!

I couldn't believe he put it on the top of his head.

And the pic of the 2 of you by the castle is a great one. :goodvibes

Thanks, Stephanie.

Hi Kathy! Methinks Mark wants to be a pirate! I've seen more than a photo or two of your hubby as a swashbuckler!! Caffeine is a great way to start the evening!

I think Mark thinks he IS a pirate. I have to admit it was 1/2 caff (I'm not supposed to have caffeine at all).

Going back and getting caught up.....

I'll just give my gut reaction to Mark's potential job news - that totally sucks!! Seriously, I know that you have such a great attitude and have faith that the best will happen but I just want to smack an owner!! Ok, I'll settle down now.

Tell me how you really feel, Brenda. :lmao::lmao: But I'm with you...I'd like to smack both owners.

I'm a fan of LTT but I've never tried their burgers. I refuse to order their fried cheese since they changed the menu and got ride of the cheese nuggets. Hmph! That was nice that they commemorated your anniversary in such a colonial fashion! :thumbsup2

Hmmm...that must have been awhile ago because I don't ever remember cheese nuggets (although we've only been there twice). It was very sweet of them.

Let's see, you're a Cubs fan :thumbsup2, a Hawks fan :thumbsup2 I'll leave it at that since my Packer fan husband may look over my shoulder if I commend your football team choice!!

Smart girl! :rotfl2:

I will be thinking of you and your brother tomorrow and hope and pray for a positive report.

Take care and God bless!!

Thank you so much Brenda.

I'm all caught up :cool1:. I love all the pictures of Mark in the hats!! He looks like he is having a good time. After reading your review on R&C, I can't wait to eat there!! I am not a big fish fan, but the fish and chips looked delish.

I'm glad you like the hats. He loves acting like a kid; wait who am I kidding, he is a kid! There are other things besides fish at R&C; Mark has had the Bangers & Mash and the Cottage Pie and enjoyed both.

Looking forward to reading about your Sunday night ADR.

Coming up soon.

LOVE the photo of you and Mark in front of the castle, that's a keeper :goodvibes

Thanks, Lisa.

sending an extra big dose of pixiedust: , prayers and :hug::hug::hug: for tomorrow

Thank you; it went well.

Just stopping by to let you know I am thinking of you and sending prayers your way today. I pray that everything goes smoothly. Many (((Hugs)))

Thank you, D.

And I had to comment on your update too... Love the coffee!

I am a coffee lover (no comments from you Andy!).

I have to say - that photo of you an Mark in front of the castle is probably the BEST one yet! I Love it! You two are so CUTE!!!!

D~

You are too sweet.

Hat pictures and Starbucks. I mean really... if this isn't the quintessential KatMark TR update, I don't know what is! :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

You know what, I really need a laugh this morning sitting at the hospital while my brother was having his procedure and sitting in the same waiting room as the other brother who I've not talked to in four years, with each of us at the opposite end of the room, and your post did it. I knew I could count on you.

How can I add any other comments to this? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I really don't think you could. :lmao::lmao:

AWESOME COFFEE!!!! there is nothing better then the golden delicious goodness!!!

As my husband will tell you, I am a much happier person when I have my Starbucks.

You do KNOW i will be buying Mark a hat... it is a must. and he must wear it.
May just be he one with the dreds isn't that a picture of Cookie on there???

I don't know if I should be worried about you buying Mark a hat; it might be a White Sox hat. :rotfl: It does look Cookie on there, doesn't it.

Great pictures! you don't see too many people taking pictures UP!!! Great eye!

I love that little area and a great p lace to sit and rest and have quiet.

praying everything goes well today. One day at a time.

Thank you.

I am saying a prayer all goes well.

Prayers both for your brother having the procedure and for the family out in the waiting room.

P&PD for everyone today.

THANK YOU ALL for the prayers.

I'm thinking a Starbucks and then later this afternoon I'll mix myself up a Pina Colada. :)

Praise the Lord! That's wonderful news!

Thank you, Lisa. In reference to your previous post unfortunately, it did nothing for the strained relations between my other brother and I. But I am okay with it. We have never gotten along and when he told me four years ago that he wasn't at the hospital for me (Bob was having a procedure for his stomach at the time) and he didn't care that my mammogram came back clean and then did NOT respond to the invitation for his godson's (my son!) wedding...well it was the last straw.

Good news!!!! I am so happy for you all. :goodvibes

Thanks very much Pat.

Thanks, Linda. The whole thing with Mark just sucks as Brenda so eloquently said.

Am I missing something? What is the 3-way call conversations? Or did yu just happen upon them.

Did you stop long enough to hear the piano and voice lessons going on in that little sidestreet? That was a fun stop for us-in a shady spot.

We did...I love that area.

Looking forward to the rest of your day.

Coming up in a bit.

So glad to hear the procedure went well, Kathy. :goodvibes

Thank you!

As I told Andy, I think I'll have both. And I booked a massage for Sunday (I couldn't get in today).

Well, you know, a little airplane bottles of Bailey or Kahlua makes Starbucks even better. :)

I totally agree, Jill.

Glad it was successful, and praying this prevents the need for a heart transplant!

Here's a virtual drink on me: :drinking1

If you can make it to Delaware, I'll get you a real one.

Mary Ellen, I am so sorry I missed responding to you last night. I had a lot on my mind.

Kathy,
I managed to log in this morning early and then read up in between running reports. The only nice thing to being behind is catching up all at once.

You have been missing for awhile, and I'm so happy to see you again.

I'm going to comment backward to say that I will keep your entire family in my prayers - between your brother's surgery and now worrying about Mark's job you have your heart full right now. How great that you were able to spend sometime with the newly weds to keep the cheery part there too. I hope that Mark is able to find something else while he finishes out this year. (and wondering just how much of a coincidence is it that the company pushes out long term, older employees as they approach the retirement window???:

We had so much fun with the kids; they do make us laugh and smile and forget our worries.

But on to brighter topics:lovestruc

Good!

It was fun to see your airport photos with the Blue brothers again - did you post them on FB? seems I remember seeing them & thinking how much Joe would enjoy them.

I think I probably did.

How exactly did you score yet another Castle dinner adr? do you get up at the crack of dawn to call in? (LOL I nearly scored one just now but by the time I logged back in to lock in the reservation, it was gone!:badpc:) The grey stuff looks yummy. I have to ask - is the Ballroom noisy at dinner time? When we went at lunch, I found that because its designed like a big ballroom, the sound all echoed everywhere and made it very noisy. Was it like that at dinner?

Nicki got our first one, Mary got the second and I did this last one online first thing in the a.m. I didn't care for the grey stuff, nor did Mark. We did not find the ballroom noisy at all.

Love your Tigger tattoo :) I always want to get one while I am there, but never seem to be able to slow down long enough to stop.

It takes a total of about 7 minutes...not long at all.

Its a shame your Sci Fi Dine In dinner was nasty, but how nice of the server to take it off of your bill. and you did have those yummy onion rings. that's a vegetable, right? LOL

I would definitely put onion rings in the vegetable category!

All of your pictures are so much fun Kathy - clearly you & Mark had a great time. Love the early morning MK photo of you two kissing with the castle in the background. :lovestruc

Thank you; we are just so relaxed and care-free when there and it often shows in our photos.

Was Adventureland quiet that you had such great interactions with Jasmine & Aladdin? looked like you were having quite a conversation.

There were about 20 people in line behind us, but they just kept keeping us in conversation. ;)

The Liberty Tree Tavern lunch looks sooo yummy. you are making me want to work it into my October trip. hmmm i'll have to review the schedule yet again! No wonder I can't get my planner done, I keep changing the plans:rotfl2:

Stop changing your plans...you are too close. :rotfl2:

Hopefully it won't take me so long to check back in. So glad you give FB updates too or I'd be lost. As it is I spend all day :surfweb: but most of it is for work. sigh

I know there are people who get to FB easier and those who get here easier (who aren't even on FB), so I try to cover both ends. Good to see you.
