I love all of the pictures in your intro. The one of Alisha and Rolo is so adorable. Looks like he settled right in with them. And it's great to hear that Cookie is still doing well and not suffering at all.

I got through my responses faster than I thought, so let's get a short update done.

I woke up at 4:30 on our departure day (Friday, August 16) and took a shower. I finished packing my toiletries and then woke Mark up so he could hop in the shower. Andy woke up around 5:20 and brushed his teeth and took our luggage to the car. We said our goodbyes to Cookie, and then it was time to leave.

Andy knows his mother well, and we stopped at Starbucks for my coffee on the way to Midway Airport (Midway does not have a Starbucks...just another reason NOT to like Midway Airport in my opinion). I got my cappuccino and we were on the road.

Luckily, we hit no traffic until we were about five minutes from our exit ramp and the cause of that was a fender bender where everyone has to slow down and look.

Andy dropped us off here



We kissed him goodbye, and Mark and I turned our luggage over to a skycap, and went into the airport.

We stopped and got Mark some coffee and a muffin (I forgot to take pictures...sorry). We walked to our gate

and sat for the hour until it was time to board. Mark ate his breakfast read his Nook:





And I did a little DIS time and posted an update or two on FB.

and before we knew it, it was time to board.

The flight was very smooth





We landed early and were soon waiting for the fake monorail:





We went down to baggage claim and got our luggage and then went and got in line for our rental car. We had a bit of a wait...we had several foreigners in front of us that was delaying things.

We got our car, and we were off:

You just gotta love the excitement of travel days to WDW. There's nothing like it. We were almost exactly 2 hours behind you! Too bad it takes us a plane change to get to WDW though!

Also the worst pretzels on the planet there..
yet it is SO MUCH easier to get to! Yep you were caught by gawkers of the worse kind.

Yeah!!! An update!!!

Someday I am going to have to fly to Disney...just to ride the fake monorail! I hear so much about it. I wonder if it is like the real one in that my kids would ride the real one ALL DAY LONG if I left them. Although, I don't see us flying to Disney until the kids are grown... and as you know, I am not rushing that at all!!
