Supposed to turn really ugly tonight and heading into the weekend. Say it's going to be really windy today. Sustained winds of 20-25 mph with gusts up to 70 mph. Supposed to get really cold to. Cold front pushing it's way into our state.

Finally a good chance of snow. We are still in desperate need of moisture. We haven't had any since the beginning of October.

9:10 am and the breezes have already kicked up. 39 degrees with the wind chill making it feel like 36.

It's 12:06p and 44 degrees, with a wind chill of 38.

Thought I was going to get blown away. It was the most windy day in NM yesterday, since 1987. Wind gusts of over 80 mph. At least the winds have calmed down. The calm before the storm. Matter of time, they say, before the snow storm moves in. I'll take that over the winds any day.

8:22 am and it's currently 28 degrees with a wind chill making it feel like 22.

Good Morning Weather DISer's!!! Almost all unpacked!!!

WOW, those Santa Ana Winds that blew into town on Wed and Thursday were HORRIBLE. Here in the OC, we had very minor minor damages but I was awaken in the middle of the night Wed into Thurs and looked out to see all the palm trees here at our new complex almost bent over with the wind. L.A. got hit bad. Power outtages and trees all uprooted as well as tractor trailor trucks on the highway tipped over.

Things have quieted down!!!

I will tell you living here in our new place, we are bit more inland then our SD home and there is never ever that horrid 'marine layer'. We have been here a week now and have had nothing but bright bright sun all day long.

8:47am in the OC and its 60 cool degrees but on its way UP!!!

No tipped trucks. UNM had part of the roof for the football practice facility blown off. Some of the covered parking facilities at the airport, collapsed and fell onto cars. Several uprooted trees. Some falling on power lines and taking out power for certain parts of the city. Just waiting on the winter snow storm now.

I hadn't noticed your ticker till Kar pointed it out. Have a fun trip.

11:02 and it's warmed up a little bit, but the winds have picked up a little bit as well. It's now 30 degrees, but the wind chill is making it feel like 20.

It is currently 6:27 and 3 degrees!!!

All I could do today was sit at work and look at the 10 day forecast to see how warm it's going to be in 5 more days when we arrive at WDW Saturday!! Yay, so far, no rain and in the 70s!!

Anyway, there's pixie dust falling!! It's so cold, and the snow is so dry, it looks like glitter falling from the air!!

It has been unusually cold in this part of the country the past few days. In fact, we've had temperatures lower than back home in Maine. High today in Southern Maine is supposed to be 58. High today in Southern Arizona, only 50. The good news is that we'll be back to the mid-60s by mid-week. I miss my warm temps!

What is with these crazy temperatures! We have relatives from Maine coming out to visit the end of December. They're hoping to bask in the sunshine and warm temps. It better warm up soon!

I heard on the news this morning that a large portion of I-10 in New Mexico, close to the Arizona border, is closed due to severe weather. They're dealing with ice and snow.

It's very cold here. When I got up this morning. The temperature was 0 with a wind chill making it feel like -14.

This is what it looks like outside my front door. Snowed late Sunday night and all morning yesterday.


I stuck a ruler in to measure how much snow we got. This is how much snow we had when all was said and done.


I know it's not like back East where they get feet, but this is the most we've seen for a while.

It's bright an sunny here, but very cold. It's warmed up since this morning though. 12:02 pm and it's currently 16 degrees, with the wind chill making it feel like 3.

Supposed to be warmer here today and the rest of the week. Should be in T-shirts and shorts by the time we get into the mid 40's over the weekend.

Definitely warmer this morning as opposed to yesterday morning. Little less wind today as well.
