8:00 pm in beautiful Colorado Springs...High 77, low 44 tonight. We've had snow on Pikes Peak now for about a week now, and the Aspens are turning a beautiful gold. I LOVE Fall!!!!

Oh holy crap that is beautiful. My husbands cousin lives in Colorado Springs. I heard it is truly beautiful. I guess it's true based on that picture!

Oh my brother and his family live in CS and it is beautiful! We visit often!

Back to the same old weather here. Hot and Dry. Should be in the low 70's for this time of year and we've been in the mid to high 80's. Still no rain.

It is 10:20am here and 79 degrees with beautiful sunshine. We are just beginning our stretch of months of gorgeous temps and lovely sunshine. The weather here just really makes me smile a lot.

I am waiting on the delivery of a swingset that is due to arrive this morning, then I'll be spending all afternoon in the backyard putting it together. My husband will throw some hot dogs and burgers on the grill for lunch. Some Jimmy Buffett tunes in the background and my day is complete!

The grandkids will be here for a few hours this evening, so we want to have the swingset all together before they get here.

Supposed to warm up a little this week before getting cold later on in the week. If DW and I go, we'll be sure to post a few pics of the Balloon Fiesta. If we go, it will have to be the first weekend (the weekend you will be in Vegas). DW and I will be in the Vegas the following weekend (Columbus Day Weekend). So I know exactly what you mean by friends and Vegas.

I'd love to see some pics of the balloons!

Do you drive or fly when you visit Vegas? We usually drive, takes about 7 hours. It's nice to be able to avoid the stop and go traffic over the Hoover Dam now that the new bridge has been completed. I'll try not to post too much about the gorgeous weather coming our way! Living here is the complete opposite of living in New England. When we were in Maine, I always figured the summer and beautiful fall was our reward for suffering through the winter months. Here, the beautiful winters are our reward for suffering through the intense heat of the summer!

I will try my best to drive down and take some. Still not sure if we're going yet or not. Depending on which the wind is blowing, sometimes they fly by our house. I'm hoping the wind brings them our way again. I took off the Friday before we leave to Vegas. That's the day for special shape balloons. Might try to go that day and night.

We usually fly when we go to Vegas. We drove once and have determined flying and renting a car is definitely easier. Plus we are going with my mom and sister. My mom doesn't do well on road trips, so flying is easier for her. We'll be doing a road trip close to your neck of the woods in November. We bought DW a new car this year and we decided on a little road trip with some friends. We're headed to Phoenix though.

I hope we win as well. At least enough to keep us playing for a while. I know you're headed out this weekend as well. Good luck to you. Hope you win big. Enjoy your trip and drive safely.
