It's 4:11 pm and it was 83 when I was just in my van. Nice to have sun instead of rain.

It's 9pm and 67 degrees. Our monsoon weather has been in full swing the past few days. Every evening, storm clouds roll in over the mountains and all heck breaks loose.

We've had torrential rains, high winds, hail, thunder and lightening, and flash floods. It can be extremely dangerous to be out on the roads when this kind of weather hits. Streets can fill with rushing water within a matter of minutes. Many streets in the Tucson area this evening were closed due to flooding and 10,000 homes are without power.

The news reported close to 7,000 strikes of lightening in and around Tucson last night. I have never seen so much lightening in such a short time! It was a bit frightening!

Fortunately, the Monsoons should be coming to an end in the next week or so.

Got my top down Pooh... good day to be a jeep owner!

Overcast now but 77 degrees.

Its 3:02pm and its 92 degrees today. It was suppose to rain but it never did. Its actually a pretty nice day today.

GOOD SUNDAY AFTERNOON, Weather DISer's!!! :goodvibes

So we left for our New England vacation and was welcomed by Hurricane Irene and returned home to San Diego and was welcomed by the Massive SoCal Blackout. :sad2:

I never cried so much on a vacation as during those two weeks. No luggage for 5 days. No power at our RI/CT relatives houses. We stayed in more hotels than I cared too. Then at the close of our New England vacation Tropical Storm Lee hit CT and when I thought we had power, my IL's once again were w/o power. We arrived at GREEN/PRO airport to fly home only to have Green lose all their power. No computers were working, no one was sure if we would fly out or better still make our connections. Ugh. Finally on our way to DC. Landed late and was literally RUNNNNNNING from Terminal A to Terminal D. United personnel were actually mad we were late……are you kidddddding me. We get to our seats and get this……the pilot comes on and states he has the good news and the bad news……..the good news is San Diego is having one beautiful sunny day (as from RI to DC it was literally MONSOONS pouring down rain) but the bad news was the plane's A/C was not working and it would be about 40 minutes before we left. WHATTTTTTT and the United personnel was angry WE were late…………..:headache: The hits just keep on coming. WE were LITERALLY the last plane to land in San Diego……the very LAST plane……….and BANG no power anywhere at all in the entire county………..:headache: Our 45 minute drive from the airport to our home was 3+ hours due to the nightmare at every traffic light……...:headache:

 Our best time was the seven days in Downeast Maine where we had SUN SUN SUN! :sunny: We welcomed my brother home from Afghanistan. Yeah, safe and sound. All my brothers and sisters and their families were all together!!!!! :grouphug:

Today my family celebrates the 9/11 Anniversary being so very thankful that my DH made it out of the WTC and that my brother, a Col in the Army, made it out of the Pentagon. That was and still remains the worst day of my life as I never heard from my husband for 4+ hours after the Towers came down. :sad2:

So on a lighter note, we have decided to drive to Disneyland for a few days!!!!! :mickeyjum

12:08pm in San Diego, bright sun, lovely breeze and 73 degrees. :dance3:

Heather was telling me about all you were going through. I felt so bad for you. I'm glad to hear all ended well on your trip to DL.

It is cold here today. Only 51 today when I got to work this morning, with the wind chill making it feel like 48. I actually had to put on a light jacket this morning.

8:15 am and it's up to 53. Wind chill making it feel like 51. Slight chances for rain today.

I think we'll skip fall and go straight into winter here. Actually pretty cool this morning.
