Little late with my post today. Got into an accident on my way to work this morning. Some teenager in a 4-wheel drive apparently thought he could handle the icy and snowy roads this morning given he has a 4 wheel drive. Ice don't discriminate, 4-wheel drive or not. Slid right into me. And yes, I'm ok.

Anyways at 12:34p, it's still cloudy outside. Snow has finally stopped. Current temp is 29 degrees.

Glad to hear your alright! They do that around here too, 4-wheel drive dose nothing on ice. Made for off road or deep snow!!

nhpooh, glad to hear Freckles is acting more like himself. I'm sure all of your wonderful care is making quite a difference.

Thumper, sorry to hear about your accident. Both DH and I drive 4-wheel drive vehicles, but even so, I wouldn't go out on ice. I know that I don't know how to drive on it, 4-wheel drive or not. DH knows what he is doing and would be fine. The driver makes a big difference in vehicle performance. I'm glad to hear you're well. Hopefully, you'll be able to have your vehicle fixed quickly.

It's much cooler here today. It is 2:34 and we're sitting at 42 degrees. The wind chills, though, make it much colder.

I missed Pooh's post on Freckles. Sorry Pooh. That kid ruined my morning. Had to go back and read it. Glad to hear Freckles is doing much better. Puppy has an appetite again. Here's a little pixie dust to a full recovery.

Not too much damage to my vehicle, but enough. It's still drive-able. I have 4-wheel drive also, but I know better than to take it for granted. I just gotta wait on the police report so I can file a claim with his insurance. Hopefully that won't take too long.

I will stay in Newport Beach for one more month. Get myself all organized and the packers and movers come the last week of Feb. So much to do, so little time but we are excited. Freckles started taking his Prednisone yesterday afternoon, he is acting more himself. That means the prednisone is making him more comfortable, and that's what we want for him now. He ate his breakfast this morning even cleaned the dish.

Aww, Sue, my sister in Lexington lost the heat in their building. She has a beautiful condo and the building super said they are doing everything to get this situation FIXED!!! In the meantime, she is so cold. She does have her space heater going.

it's 10.40am here in Toronto on Feb 1. Usually we'd be smack dab in the middle of winter with snow piled up higher then most adults due to snow plows and shovelling but right now as I look out the winder there isn't a flake of snow or a drift to be seen.

we have swung from +10 to -14 within a few days and we are currently on the up swing again.

this week is expected to be -3, -2, -1, 0, +1. no kidding. and while i can't complain that we've had a hard winter i wish it was over.

everyone around here is getting sick because of the swings
