Thanks, Sue, yes, I will be busy but I am taking it slow. Getting this home all organized before the packers come at the end of the month.

Yes, my DSis finally got her heat back LATE that evening. It was one full day w/o heat BUT the cold really did not bother her until dinner time. She wore all her LLBEAN thermals and used her space heater. She could have gone to my DSis in Andover but really wanted to stay home.

it's 10.40am here in Toronto on Feb 1. Usually we'd be smack dab in the middle of winter with snow piled up higher then most adults due to snow plows and shovelling but right now as I look out the winder there isn't a flake of snow or a drift to be seen.

we have swung from +10 to -14 within a few days and we are currently on the up swing again.

this week is expected to be -3, -2, -1, 0, +1. no kidding. and while i can't complain that we've had a hard winter i wish it was over.

everyone around here is getting sick because of the swings

Thumper, my DS will be living in New Mexico from April-August. Cimarron to be exact. He is a Chief Ranger at Philmont Boy Scout Ranch. This will be his 4th visit to the Ranch and 2nd year as a Ranger. He just loves New Mexico....even though the weather which can be all over the place at times even throughout the summer months!!!

I love it up that way. We got about 6 inches of snow here last night. I can only imagine what they got up that way. Looking at the ski reports (since he's close to Red River & Angel Fire ski resorts) looks like Red River got 5 inches of new snow while Angel Fire got 8.

10:56a. Sun is finally out and the snow has left. Current temp is 29.

2:15 pm and it's raining, 19 degrees and temps. are falling. We're getting rain, then it will be topped with about 3-5 inches of SNOW with in the next 3 hours or so. Yeah, gotta love the midwestern winters. This one has been brutal! Today is the FIRST DAY in 12 days we've been ABOVE 0 though...it's been sooooooo cold- having 19 degrees (12 degrees after wind chill) feels like a heat wave!
