What time for pick up on return flight?

Our return flight (AirTran) leaves at 4:15 PM from MCO. What time shall I arrange for our pickup so we get to the airport on time but not too early. Staying at AKL. Thanks.

Are you taking a taxi or DME? If it is DME, they will schedule your pick up time no later than 3 hours prior to your departure, so 1:15. You also will need to be at the DME stop at your resort at least 15 minutes early, so you will need to be at your resort (and ready with any carryon bags) for the DME bus no later than 1pm.

I would arrive at the airport no later than 2:30. The airport is big with lots of things to look at. Better to give yourself some cushion just in case there are any unexpected problems.

Happy Limo or any car service will provide you with a time that they will pick you up from your hotel to go to MCO. Usually they tell you when you are dropped off and it is usually 2-3 hours before your flight time.
And if you are interested use the curbside checkin and try to upgrade to Airtran business class if you wish.
We did our last trip for only $19 for both of us!

Every single car service I have used has told me they will pick me up two hours prior to flight departure time. I then have to tell them I want to be picked up 2.5 hrs prior. I want to get to MCO 2 hrs prior. I've stood in that dang security line for 30 mins before, and it's not fun if your flight leaves in an hour, or less.
So, for a 4:15 flight time, I would ask to be picked up by 1:45. Yeah, you might be sitting around cooling your heels for a bit, but you won't be obsessing while standing still in security!!!

The other thing to keep in mind is that they will start boarding at about 3:50ish...at least that was my experience on my past 4 flights with AirTran. So, you want to be at the gate, all ready to go, no later than 3:30....and earlier is always better. I know I had to rush to get to my gate last Tuesday morning. The security line was backed up, my ride was late in getting me to the airport. By the time I got to the gate, I had about 20 mins before boarding started...just enough time to grab a bottle of water and use the restrooms. By the time I got back to the gate, and sat down to arrange my stuff, they started boarding!!!! Hate cutting it that close.
