What time does the ferry start running from TTC to MK?

I did a search, but was unable to find a clear answer, so I hope someone can help me.

We have a 7:45am breakfast at Kona on one of our MK days. I thought it would be fun for the kids to walk over to the TTC after breakfast and take the ferry to MK. But, I seem to remember from our last trip that the ferry wasn't running very early in the morning (but maybe that was an EMH day, I'm not sure).

Anyway, would it be safe to assume that if MK opens at 9am, that the ferry would be running by 8:30 or so? I would hate to walk from the poly all the way over to TTC just to take the monorail anyway!

Yes, the MK Ferry is scheduled to start 1 hour before MK regular opening.

I don't know if this still happens but a few years ago I observed the first ferry and first express monorail leaving the parking lot concourse (TTC) to arrive at Magic Kingdom about 15 minutes before regular park opening. Probably was an extra magic hours morning.

Not to hijack, but we are staying offsite and have a 8:00am ADR at CP. We plan to arrive at the TTC at 7:15am. Will we have to take the monorail? I love the ferry and didn't know it doesn't run till 8:00am on 9:00am park days. Thanks!

You may be right. I just checked a 2nd source. One source says 1 hour before opening, the 2nd says 8:45. Both are official WDW cm communications.

Yes, the Resort Monorail is the only transportation from TTC to MK at that hour.

Haha...that figures. Probably the reason I couldn't find a clear answer in my search! Well, by the time we finish breakfast and walk to the TTC, it will most likely be at least 8:45am anyway. I just wanted to be sure it didn't start late, like 10am or something. Thanks!

You could always ride the ferry back to the TTC when you leave MK!

There is a boat (not as big as the ferry, and you need to fold up a stroler-not sure about motorized scooters) that goes from the Poly boat dock directly to the MK. I think it starts 30 minutes prior to the MK opening-which I think is the same as the ferry. Could be an option for you as opposed to walking to the TTC. The boats dock is a bit closer (I think).
