I am making fast passes for a friend. Today is her day...with a reservation at the Poly.

Why won't it let me in????

I thought it was midnight?

I believe that I read that FP times now open at 7 am EST... I would double check though!

EST is eastern standard time (winter time), and we are currently in EDT eastern daylight time (summer time). Though that is semantics. I think we all know what people imply by saying EST all year round.

I am upset about the change. I wish it stayed at midnight, I work very late at night and it would have been so much easier for me. Though it makes sense to get it in line with all of the other reservations. I will just have to stay up extra late when it is my time to make my FP+! lol! I do admit that it is probably a whole lot better for the majority of individuals at the new time spot in the East. Horrible for those out in the West though.

No, EST means eastern standard time. Right now, Orlando is on EDT (eastern daylight time,) which is an hour later than EST. Just saying "eastern time" clears up any confusion, as it just refers to whatever time is current, whether standard or daylight.

Until a few years ago, many counties in Indiana didn't observe daylight savings time - they were always on EST. If, during the summer, you were to tell them to be somewhere at 10:00 EST when you really meant 10:00 eastern daylight time, they would have shown up an hour early.

Well in the article I read it said, EST. I just conveyed the information I knew. Sorry it bothered you.

I think that when it's 7am in Florida, it's 7am in Florida and it doesn't really matter if it standard or daylight savings. It's 7am. Why would they subject themselves to that much confusion. The entire eastern seaboard is 7am at the same time.

Just found this thread - can someone confirm if fastpasses to be made tomorrow would be at 6am or 7am?
