What time does the buses start at Toy Story parking lot?

We are taking out first DL trip in May. We are staying at the Homewood suites that is supposed to be next to the Toy Story parking lot. We would like to take advantage of the early morning entrance (will have 3 day hopper) that are offered on Thursday. Will we be able to catch bus in time to make the early entry? What time do they start running?

This thread (http://www.disboards.com/threads/toy-story-lot-and-early-entry-magic-morning.3130728/) indicated that that the Toy Story lot opens up 30 minutes before the start of MM (so, 90 minutes before the start of normal operating day), just like the M&F Structure and buses were running at that time as well. I would drop a note to Disneyland Guest Services to find out the latest information.

We are staying at that hotel starting tomorrow night for 4 nights and will report back as that is also our plan. The official stance is Homewood Guests cannot use the bus, but plenty are reporting no problems.

We used the Toy Story bus while staying at Homewood Suites. I could never find official definite answers on what time it opened. I believe that the parking lot opens one hour prior to regular opening, not MM. One bus driver said the first bus would leave Toy Story at 7:20 (or 7:25?) for an 8:00 opening. We never tested it to see if it opened earlier. When we had a 7am MM we took a cab. Well worth the $10 ($8 fare plus tip) to make MM on time. Even if Toy Story opens 30 minutes before MM, you won't be at security for at least another 15. By then the lines are long. You can call yellow cab yourself or the front desk can call someone for you, but they might call a private company. They called a private company for us, but the rate was reasonable so I didn't mind.

Cannot use Toy Story Parking Lot? Yea right. That may be the hotel's official stance, but the truth is anyone is welcome to board the Disney shuttles there. And at no charge, unless of course you will be parking a vehicle. Now ART has a small charge. But they do not operate from TS parking lot. Only the Disneyland shuttles do.

We used this parking lot on early December. It opened 1 hour before official park opening. The day we used our magic morning we just walked.

How far is the walk from Homewood suites to DL? We will be there in May. Was going to walk to Toy Story parking lot and take the tram. Wanted to do a MM one day that we are there. Is it better to walk?

I didn't actually stay at Homewood Suites but I think it's closer than where we stayed. I think it was about 3 long blocks to Disneyland, maybe a mile. It didn't seem too bad since we were excited. We took the bus back at the end of the day.

The CMs see you walking into the parking lot and do not say anything, so there apparently is no rule that you have to actually be parking in the lot to ride the buses in. We were there at 6:35 one morning for a 7 o'clock MM, and the parking lot was not open yet, so we just walked. It is kind of a rough way to start a day that will already have 10+ miles of walking in it.

We stayed at Hyatt Place, which is across the street from the Homewood Suites. We walked a few of the mornings. It took us about 20 mins from door to security. I tend to walk fast, despite my 5'2" frame. Made my 6yo keep up with me, lol.

Honestly, we had so much adrenaline in the mornings, the walk isn't really all that bad. A few of the evenings, we did opt to take the TS bus back to the lot. However, depending on when you leave (before dinner vs after parades/fireworks/fantasmic) it would take up to 30-40 mins to get back. The only time I walked back was when I didn't have my 6yo with me. My 10 didn't want to walk back, but she did fine.
