What time does monorail and ferry start running?

We are staying off site and have ADR at CP at 8:15. My plan is to arrive at the MK parking lot no later than 7:15. Are the monorails and/or ferry running this early? I would like to be in the park by 7:45 so we can take our time strolling and getting some good pics on the way to CP. Is this the quickest and easiest way?? Thanks!

I've been at the gates as early as 7:15 on a day I was offsite, so you should have no problem.

1) Boats, buses, monorails, and ferrys start at 6:30am. *
2) They begin to be seen at resorts by about 6:45am (+/- a few monutes).

* Some bus routes operate 24/7.

Thanks for the bus info! I see this question asked here there and everywhere! This tidbit of info should pop up when anyone makes an early breakfast ADR.

The Magic Kingdom boats all begin running 30 minutes before the park opens.
Buses begin running from resorts to the parks 45 minutes before the parks open.
The monorail begins running 90 minutes before the park opens.

At the TTC, you may need to grab the resort monorail rather than the express monorail. The resort monorail begins running around 7:00am, but I don't think they operate the express monorail until closer to 8:00am. You can always ask a CM at the TTC.

Sorry, but this is simply bad info.

Does the resort monorail actually stop at MK or only at the resorts? Does anyone know who I could call to get more info on this? Sorry for so many questions....I just want to have all the kinks worked out before we get there. Would it just be easier to take a taxi?

1- Does the resort monorail actually stop at MK.

2- Does anyone know who I could call to get more info on this?

3- Would it just be easier to take a taxi?

1- Yes. Every time it goes around the loop, all day long.

2- Ask on the DIS. Many of us have done these things for years and years.

3- The taxi will take you to TTC, where you'd still need to take the monorail to MK.
(An alternative would be to take a cab to the Contemporary Resort and then walk to MK.)

But, you (and hundreds of other guests, every single day) will be just fine getting to the
8AM-ish reservation using the monorail from TTC.

Thanks for your response....makes me feel better. I like to have every second of my day planned out and know who, where, why and how. It drives my hubby nuts. :)

On extra magic hour mornings at Magic Kingdom the first express monorail and first ferry from the parking lot concourse (Transportation & Ticket Center) may be timed to arrive at MK around 15 minutes before regular opening time. This can result in a large crowd developing at the TTC and sometimes an opening ceremony is held there.

Prior to this time guests may be asked to show a room key or evidence of a morning restaurant reservation to board the resort monorail, which will be running.

I got a 8:05 CRT ressie on a non-EMH morning. Any idea what times the express monorail starts?

Just be at the TTC by 7:20, or so.

You can then board whatever monorail (Express or Resort,) or ferry boat, or bus to MK (if any) is running at that time,
and make your ADR.

Ok. So we have conflicting times in this thread. Rusty says around 6:30-6:45. You are saying much later than that. Boats don't start until 8:30? Buses don't start until 8:15? How would one ever make rope drop?

Edited to add - Thanks Robo for calling this out. I've seen these times before and they have baffled me.

The date on Rusty's post was from 2012. The monorails are running on a modified schedule right now. I have been trying to find the exact schedule with no luck from current posters.

With the inconsistent (even day-to-day) schedule of how they have been operating the TTC monorails,
it doesn't matter what time X started running on Y date.

On Z date, things can be completely different.

The way to solve this dilemma is as I stated in my earlier post.

Arrive at TTC with plenty of advance time before you want to get to MK.
Board whatever is running at that time.
IF more than one mode is running, take your pick.
