What time does boarding actually start?

We will be on the Fantasy in July and we have a PAT of 10:30 or 10:45am, somewhere around there. We are taking DCL ground transfer from MCO to the port. I think the first bus leaves at 10am which means we'll arrive at port around 11 and then check in.

Do I have this right so far? Someone told me that they don't start boarding till 1pm but that didn't sound right. I didn't think rooms were available until 1 but I thought people boarded as early at 11 or noon.

After 9 cruises, the earliest was around 11:30. Noon is the latest I remember.
Usually by 1pm its open boarding.

They normally start boarding 11-1115ish. I believe 1:00 is still in the official paperwork, most likely to give them wiggle room where the turnover from one cruise to the next is concerned. The rooms are normally ready about 1:30.

Ours started shortly after 11:00

Actually, buses will begin departing MCO around 9:00am or shortly after, and every 20 minutes or as filled (whichever is sooner). So the first passengers from MCO may arrive at the port around 10-10:15am. If you have an early flight, you do not have to hang around MCO until 10.

The Dream and Fantasy have started boarding around 11:15am lately.

If u take a car service from disney hotel rather then bus do u have to take all your luggage yourself ?

They rope off the hallways to the staterooms until 1:30pm.
