What time do you veterans wilt in July?

We are planning our first summer trip to WDW. We have always gone in October or January before. I figure will we wilt in the heat in July. I'm trying to figure out what time to set PS for lunch and then bail to the pool after. What times do the heat and crowds (or rain) chase you out? Do the parks get quieter in the evenings?

We haven't done a summer trip in eons. Because of the heat and crowds, I would arrange a non park lunch PS before Noon(at a resort or DTD), followed by nap/pool. If you can wait until after dinner(6-7pm) to return to a park, that will be for the best.

Our summer strategy: Early entry, out of park before noon when heat and crowds peak, relax at pool/hotel, back to parks in the evening, ENights if available. The summertime is a great time to slow down, relax, and enjoy. We've always been able to squeeze in all our "must dos" without getting frazzled.

I agree with BuzzMe! Another suggestion is to use FP as much as possible in the summer months! Last July I didn't have to wait in lines more than 20-30 minutes the entire time I was at Disney because I used FP's.

Another vote for BuzzMe's plan - in the hot months we have always been at the gate before opening (EMH is best) and left the park by 11/12 - often grabbing lunch at a resort on the way or at the resort we're at when we get back - pool time, nap in the air-conditioning - back out at about 4 or 5 for the evening (some days we have gone back early to catch a parade - time it so that we watch it right from the front of the park as we re-enter. I can't imagine how (or why) anyone suffers through that afternoon heat in the summer months - the pools and waterparks are sooo much more fun than sweating in line !

What time is it possible to get into the water parks? Are they full by noon? Can we find any chairs?
