What time do you normally check in???

Just curious... we always check in by 10:00am, always getting on the 6:30am flight. I'm having a cow because I can get a good airfare price for the 8:00am flight but I am hesitant to take it because we won't get into Orlando til 10:30am.... am I the only crazy one who needs to be on the first flight out!?!?!?!!?

I try to be on the first in, last out. Normally, my flight out is at 8:30 central time, getting me into MCO about 1, checkin about 2:30. In Dec, they have an earlier flight, and I am on it, about an hour or so earlier. If the cost is a lot different though, I might forgo an hour or so.

On a short trip, always before 10 (usually 7 or 8 am to get the the parks as soon as they open). On a longer trip, maybe around 11 or noon.

We are leaving in 13 days!!! and did priceline for our airline tickets. We got the first flight out at 6:00 a.m. which suits me just fine. We arrive at 11:44 a.m. and can't check in until 4:00 p.m.
Has anyone every been able to check in early at the Courtyard by Marriott? It's no big deal if we can't....we'll just head over to DTD. I'm still trying to decide where to go to dinner that night. We don't want to waste a day at the parks so it will have to be the Resorts or DTD.

We made absolute sure to get the first direct flight out, and were in Orlando by 11. We checked in at 12:30, and our room was ready so it really was like a nearly full day in WDW!

It really depends, the first time I checked in before 10 am, the second time I checked in around 11 pm or so, this next time it dpends, my flight gets in at 9:30 am, so it depends on how long it takes to get through the airport and get there.

WE usually drive from Texas, leave the day before, drive as far as Gainsville for the night, and then leave eraly, and get to the hotel around 11:30, nice and early for the parks!!

Hi, our stay at the AKL will overlap yours! We usually take the earliest flight out of Philly as well. However, until the we grab our bags and make the grocery stop with the towncar, we usually don't get checked in until 10:30 or 11:00. For December, we are also taking the second flight out, which is 8:10, so that will be a little different for us. Unfortunately, the 6 am flight wasn't available at a cheap enough price. Keep an eye out for my lime green ribbon at AKL.

DH and I usually hit the road somewhere around 8am, putting us in Disney around 3 or 4 eastern time. We've lost an hour, but our travel time is still only 6 hours.

We usually drive to WDW and end of checking in around 2pm. We have never had a problem with getting all our requests either. This trip we will be flying and have an 8am flight arriving in Orlando at 10:30. I guess that puts us at check in somewhere around noon which is fine with us. That still gives us a few hours in the MK and then a nice dinner at Kona before going to bed and starting off the trip refreshed.

We're one of the few who check in after 5PM. Seems like all flights out of Denver get to MCO around 5 eastern time, so we get to the Disney resorts around 6pm.

We live in Houston, also, and we drive to Gainesville or Tallahassee the first night. When we are driving home, we leave the parks around 6pm and stop for the night in Gainesville. It doesn't seem that difficult anymore!

We're also going in October for a short trip.

We always drive there so 3ish seems to be the magic number for us. We spend that afternoon and evening getting acquainted with our resort and anticipating the next day at the park.

We drove to WDW for our last two trips so we checked in late in the day - around 5pm in 2001 and around 8pm in 2002.

This year we are flying. We have an 8am flight out of Indy and land in Orlando at 11:08am. We've hired a towncar to get us to the Poly. Hopefully we'll be all checked in by 1pm and eating lunch at the Kona Cafe!

Our flight home leaves at 12:18pm and we land at around 2pm.

Can't wait!

We like taking a mid morning flight. We still arrive mid afternoon. Have a town car pick us up, stop at a Disney outlet, then go to the hotel.
Seems like lately what we enjoy is just kicking back that first part day.
We arrive, unwind/unpack, have a NICE sit down dinner and go see Illuminations.
Makes a great day.

Most flights from the UK arrive into MCO or SFB around 3/3.30 so by the time we clear customs it's usually 5pm by the time we're checking in.

Oh wow... as early as I can possibly get there.... ususally around 7 am, grab my room key, a bite to eat, and catch the bus to whatever park is doing Extra Magic Hour. I don't want to miss a minute of my WDW vacation!

When we fly I usually like to take a late morning or early afternoon flight that way DD (3yo) is a little more settled and has had some of her energy "played" out. So we normally are not checking in until 3:00 or 4:00. However when we drive we take a day and a half to do it and usually arrive at WDW around 1:00.

We usually fly Air Canada which has a choice of two departing flights ... 10AM or 8PM I always try to book the 10AM flight which means we land close to 1PM but then with traffic and a grocery stop, we usually don't get to check in until 2PM.

i voted for between 10:00-1:00 because that is usually when we arrive; our flight usually arrives around 11:00. however, if we are changing resorts, then it is before 10:00!
